OHHH That fine source "Neighborhood scout". Too bad your source still show that Crime is decreasing in Nashville year over year.

That means it's getting better.

Do you like embarrassing yourself publicly? Take the L and move on.

There is NO defense for lying to constituents and keeping bars and restaurants closed. We have been open here in Virginia with some restrictions and no mass infections. Meanwhile, Nashville SB owners were kept closed based on the Mayor's lies and have suffered.

It's sad to see these great, growing cities like Nashville (and Austin from the thread the other day) already falling victim to Democratic liberal nonsense which is already starting to lead to their demise. It's like they don't learn from history.

Austin, San Fran, Chicago, New York and California have been run by Dems for ages and just keep getting worse and the sheeple keep putting them back in charge.

And now they say they are our only hope to save our country?

The Crime rate in Nashville has gone down. For Violent Crime and Property Crimes.

Get back to us with crime rates that are NOT 3 - 6 years old. Crime has gone UP ever one of the years cited except for a small decrease AFTER it went UP 7.91% in 2013.

When is a 7.91% increase a 'gone down?'

Since all of you are too lazy to research your points, I'll look them up.

Crime in Nashville is much lower than it was 10-15 years ago. I call that being a safer city.

Nashville TN Crime Rate 1999-2017

See how the line in 2017 is lower on the graph than 2005? That's how you know the crime rate is lower.

And per the local FBI and the local Fox Affiliate, it fell in 2018 too. I have not seen the 2019 numbers. If they are higher, please share.

Here are the stats for the city since 1963 https://www.nashville.gov/Portals/0/SiteContent/Police/docs/Stats/UCR1963-2019ByPopulation.pdf

And y'all are part right, TOTAL Crime has gone up slightly since 2017, but it is still down 30% from 2005.

So we are saying government officials not always telling the complete truth in the media is a good thing?

Ten. Governor has been roasting Cooper today. Denied his relief fund request, and stated what a piss poor job he’s done reopening the city. Not a good day for the Nashville mayor, but he has deserved every bit of it.

The rational behind that has nothing to do with Covid or not.

If Nashville doesn’t use that rationale outside of Covid, why Use it during Covid if it’s not affecting the spread of Covid?

The truth is a beautiful and terrible thing and should be treated with great caution.

(seriously, I think Nashville subscribed to the Keep It Simple, Stupid concept of communication)

Bump. Like I said, you gullible geniuses fell for fake news. Story retracted.

https://www.tennessean.com/story/ne...le-mayor-cooper-coronavirus-stats/3491786001/

Y'all cried conspiracy after reading a clickbait headline and portions of emails with no context. Be better and don't let the fake news get you. You might also want to ask yourself what other current events your are allowing the media to manipulate your feelings on with half assed articles and bad faith gotcha statements. This one was pretty obvious from the outset bc it's basic premise was that the city was hiding statistics that don't even exist. Doesn't pass the ******** test, but y'all feel free to continue cry out conspiracy every time the conservative spin cycle instructs you to.
