Napier between those two. Judge has been basically a lifer in the nfl and never been a coordinator or never been a hc. Complete gamble. Nobody knows any idea of what they are getting as head coach. Another guy who is going to learn on the job. If it’s judge, this search has been a sham. We waited a month for a guy we could have had in November or anytime

Hud

If not Hud, Napier

Napier or Hud would have been good, even a different successful G5 HC that has some ties to the South. Seriously, what does Judge know about running a successful D1 college football program? Basically nothing.

The reward for Judge is so much higher. Learned from Saban and Belichick. Considered for NFL jobs. Pete Carol hadn’t been a college HC before either. If he’s successful he ain’t going anywhere. Can bring some big assistants to run their own things. He could literally be our ‘Orgeron’ hire, and he will have the Saban/Belichick type culture. Or he could blow out because he’s never done it before. I think the odds of him being successful are much higher though. I’m sold on it

He’s also used to having elite talent, how will he do when he has average talent? So many question marks. I can’t believe Cohen would make this gamble right after Moorhead
