Interesting how he went from Ash’s favorite defensive player to not even making the depth chart??????

This is a succubus of a program. I joke around a lot on this venue but it comes from a place of pain. At least we are consistent in our failures.

Flacco has shown his CAA Offensive Player of the Year turn in 2018 wasn’t a fluke and that he was the right preseason pick for the same award in 2019. He leads the conference’s quarterbacks in passing efficiency, ranks third in passing yards (278.0 per game) and total offense (302.5 yards per game), and is tied for third in passing touchdowns (four). At the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision level, he ranks 12th in passing efficiency, 14th in total offense and 15th in passing yards.

Interesting quote from the coach:

He was at Rutgers, so he’s been in another football program and he really appreciates some of the ways we do things and the way we treat our players and he spreads that amongst the locker room, which is very helpful.”

I read that as... we do things better.

Najee was Flood's first recruit of that cycle, IIRC. A two star with no other offers. The new staff had ZERO interest in him from the time they took over, but looks like he can play. Honestly, Flood was probably better at identifying unheralded talent than our current crop of bozos. Look at Jonah Jackson.

That's a pretty normal thing to say when you jump programs. Remember when Turzilli gushed about how Flood ran the program at Rutgers compared to Kansas? Said it was like night and day.

Ash praised Najee when he took over. He was in line to start. He’s a bad coach but don’t make up fake news.

I mean, are we really surprised at this point? Ash came in and immediately put down all the current players on the team, drove off a number of recruits and players, etc.
He also spit on Rutgers Football's traditions
by ending the Burns,Smith and Mills awards handed out at the end of spring practice.

Flood knew how to fish but had trouble landing the really big ones. Ash is making flood look really decent these days.

Rutgers' name is in print! This is the kind of spontaneous publicity that makes people!
