He went to the locker room during the game I am wondering if he is hurt because he has no jump in his game he keeps getting his point blank shots blocked and how many layup can he miss

Actually a reasonable post by you, think i will give you a like. Not sure if he is hurt, he rebounded great but has missed way to many layups lately.

He was a beast on the boards and D. To me, he is trying not to pickup fouls by avoiding contact on his shots which makes it easier for the defender jump and block his shots. Got to let him play.

Impressive student but not a big10 player. He has no offensive talent, and never will. Bad hands Team is playing 4 on 5 on offense with him in the game. If he can make up for that on D then he earns his PT.

Remember, he had no other major conference offers. 80 other colleges can’t all be wrong

He's going up as strong as he can. He's not protecting the ball though or having any lift.

How it is nonsense, the kid is clearly getting dominated in B1G. Great kid, plays hard, but physically not big and strong enough. Additionally he has alligator arms and insists on taking the ball down low after rebounds. He has not developed at all.

Lusciato...leaving our opinions out of the debate, name another major college program / conference that offered him.

Does that speak to his talent at all ?

Good kid I’m sure, and smart. Things that are more important than basketball. But he’s not a major conference talent.

I don't care who offered him two years ago, he is good on the boards and had some blocks and defense tonight. He has struggled on offense for a while but he's a sophomore.

He's in his 2nd year and is averaging 8/8 in all games and 7/7 in B1G games with 1.5 blocks per game. He's clearly our best big man, although he has struggled the last few games. He needs more strength and more post moves, but he's a very good rebounder and a good shot blocker and he should continue to improve. I'm still wondering what that bandage thing on his chest was - he went into the locker room 3/4 of the way into the first half and came out with it on. Wonder if he's hurting.

Do you have a clue about what happened to him in high school before you start spouting off? Give it a rest.

The only thing I'd wish is if he went up with two hands on these dunks. They'd probably go in and hes more likely to be fouled. Way too many missed dunks and layups recently. Hes in a funk but I think hes agreat player. Hope it comes back for at least the big ten tournament. When hes on, we can.beat anyone.

No truth in this statement at all. He is a much, much better player then he was last year and he showed it against some good big men at the start of conference play. If you go back 3 weeks, we were calling him our MVP. He has certainly regressed offensively since that time and I don't know the reason but I think there is a very good chance that he returns for next season with at least a set of complementary post moves.

So Silly.. He's totally a B1G player and one of the better ones at that. He has exceptionally long arms, is a good rebounder and decent defender. He also has a nice drop step and is getting better. He can get pushed around, is inconsistent and is not an exceptional athlete. However, I have seen many games start to "go south" when he is taken out we'd probably have 8-10 wins without him. Doucoure backing up Carter would be a total disaster.

With that said, I do get a bit jealous watching the Garzas and Jalen Smiths shooting from the outside. It makes offense so much easier for everyone.

I think success, however minor it is, has collectively made this board lose its mind. Myles Johnson may never make second team all conference, but he is certainly worthy of playing in this conference. I once saw Matt bullock enter a game for my alma mater. Issa thiam was maybe 140 pounds when he got here. Please spare us the drama of demeaning our 8/8 sophomore center who also happens to be an excellent student.

Not a Big 10 player? Really. You don't average 8 rebounds per game in the Big 10 if you are not a Big 10 player.

I am pretty close with a D1 athlete who also studies engineering. Up all hours of the night studying. On the bus ride home from a contest is doing homework (not sleeping) because paperwork is due shortly after return. Is sleep deprived and is in season.

Myles has to be in a similar boat.

By this logic, Geo (with no major offers) is not a BIG player either.

Myles is a terrible foul shooter and has not shown any ability to hit a mid-range shot or beyond. His ability to finish around the rim has been pretty good and not really a problem until perhaps the last few games. Note that every player goes through a slump.

However there is more to the game than scoring. Compared to his BIG counterparts........he's a beast on the boards, significantly active on D, he looks to have plus ability to jump multiple times in a row compared to his competition, he is effective in altering/blocking shots in the paint, I would also argue against the view that he has weak hands - he appears to have pretty strong hands showing in his rebounding skillset, he also a decent help defender, quick/athletic enough to rotate out to in and a decent passer. Michigan effectively played 2 Bigs for a long portion of the second half and rendered RU's interior O ineffective. RU's problem is not Myles - it is more their lack of accuracy & inconsistency from 3, which is vital in today's basketball at any level.

Saying that he has no hands is non sensical. He has great hands. He catches passes without fumbling like Carter. He can also dribble without fumbling. Carter can't do that either. His best hands trait is decisively grabbing rebounds without bobbling or losing the ball. Neither of our other bigs can do that. He has slumped on O, but he has shown some offensive skills up until about 10 games ago.

He is definately a Big10 talent. He is dominating on defense, and blocks or alters shots when he is in there. He dominated the boards when he was in there against UM. He did the same against Illinois along with shutting down Coburn.

Carter hustles and works hard, but our D and rebound are not nearly as good when he is in there. I hope Miles goes back to starting and playing much more. We have on rim protector when Carter or Doucore are in there.

All of our players are big ten players give me a break considering we are (1) actually in the big ten, and (2) were a top-4 seed in the conference with 2 weeks to go in February and still top half so give me a break. We have not gotten blown out by a SINGLE big ten team this year. EVERY other big ten team HAS gotten blown out by a big ten team this year. does that mean none of the other big ten teams have big ten players?? This is why any such argument is nonsensical. We have been competitive in every single big ten game through 16 games, it’s safe to say we have big ten players.

We have a few fans that seem to get their thrills by ripping our players. That is ridiculous. To me those are not fans at all. They should just leave this board. We don't need negatoids here at all.

I don't mind people being critical but some of the above posts are absolutely moronic.

In many ways it just shows how uneducated our fan base is. I read some of these posts and I hope that they are troll posts. Sadly many of them are not and people are just stupid. Unfortunately that's just a fact.

Some of our hyper critical fans who berate our players after each loss should step away from the keyboard once in awhile. Remember the former 24 hour guideline about not criticizing the team after a loss?

Our best MBB season in 30 years competing in the best conference in the country and it’s not good enough for some posters.

For me any success this team has the rest of this season is a bonus for the RU fan base. It’s been a great ride and I’m hopeful the rest of the way.
