There are only so many minutes to go around, especially at a position of secondary offensive importance in today's style of play. So is it better if Myles were to stay, or have him leave and give Cliff the extra PT to boost his development ? Cliff has more upside for sure, but he'll only get there if he has the full opportunity to develop over the next few years.

Or put another way...would Cliff be as good next year as Myles would be...in that case, we'd prefer Cliff, right ?

Cliff could play the 4. Certainly defensively and he can run the floor on the break. We would lack a little on Offense but he will get a ton of minutes even if Myles stays.

Myles should stay to help Cliff develop. That's one of the purposes for practice. Cliff probably won't go up against a better defensive player than Myles. Playing time would be a nice "problem" for Coach to deal with. It's a no brainer.

I’m excited to see the improvement in Cliff year over year. Kid has only been playing the game for a short time, I think he’ll make some huge strides in the off-season.

That being said, obviously would prefer Myles to stay. His impact on the defensive end is not something that can be replaced by anyone else currently on our roster.

We will be good, real good, if Myles returns, we keep RHJ/Mathis/Caleb together, Mulcahy in his 3rd year, the frosh develop including Cliff and Jaden Jones, and we pick-up a couple quality transfers at PF and PG, even if Geo and Jacob move on.

I can't imagine anyone not wanting Myles back. Cliff can still improve with Myles around (especially practicing against him every day) and I think we could experiment more with Cliff at the 4 and Myles at the 5.
