TD is straight topic but says who is replying to who.

This is the best way to do it IMO. Topic view with an “in reply to”. Keeps the confusion down as well as cutting out half or more of the clutter of quoting. I’m not sure the threaded/hybrid even work for simple replies using mobile. I know it didn’t use to work, hence even more quoting just to keep the thread straight in situations where a quote should be unnecessary
