Despite being called a racist by many on the left, I voted for future GOP star, John James. Hopefully he can shock the world and defeat Mrs. Ronald McDonald today.
At my polling place in Gwinnett county, the machines broke down (we have electronic voting in GA) and they were supposed to have paper ballot backups right? Nope.
The line waiting to vote was 3 hrs long! So they eventually bring in new machines...but only 4 of them....for like 1200 people standing in line!

It is absurd that Election Day is on a weekday and on top of that some places don't even have early voting. Election Day ought to be Election Week. Start on a Saturday and go through the next Sunday. Nine straight days, including two weekends. No early voting. If you're not going to be able to make it any of those nine days then get an absentee ballot.
I don't think they should make it hard to vote at all but OTOH I hate this "Everybody has to vote" crap that some are pushing. Make it easy to vote but let people make up their own mind whether they want to vote or not instead of pushing them.
Here's an idea. Say when you file your taxes, government presents a proposed spending plan for the upcoming fiscal year breaking down what we are paying for and your share of it. All programs...all spending.
You get to direct what part of your money you want spent? We form the Federal budget based on what the folks who are paying the bill say! The rest we scrap.
No more "voting" needed...which is nothing but an organized personality beauty pagent for the media anyway.
