Missing a starting DB/RB, a starting DB/LB who was one of if not the leading tackler in the first couple games Had 15 tackles against Watagua and got injured in the first series against Andrews. (Was not, repeat, was not the reason Mitchell got hammered)Then the QB while playing is not 100% healthy. Not sure how healthy the starting corner is that was out a couple games is yet either. Not making any excuses for Mitchell with theses young men out, but as with most every 1a school, it does hurt. Got to have the next man up mentality.
I just feel the team as a whole is just a step or two behind where they need to be to make a deep run this year. Not saying they can’t but just do not feel good about it right now. I think the kids are playing hard but for some reason or another it just hasn’t “clicked” yet.
Again, not trying to take nothing away from them or be a downer just what I see. And trust me I am wrong about most things , just try to look at things from an honest standpoint.

Same ole thing Buzz and TD get worked up over Mt Airy. Lighten up buzz. 99% of the time people say stuff on a message board because they know it ruffles your feathers. Just hand it right back to em. I would swap Robbinsville and ER simply because I know how tuff Robbinsville is. It’s truly a different kind of football in the SMC and I know we all hear it from those guys but it’s true. Andrews should win their conference but it will be one hell of a battle.
