I have known about Scott Frost for many years, he is younger than me for sure but he is a warrior. I know he went elsewhere to challenge himself but I alway respected that. I met him at a NU road game and he was cool to stop an talk. He will bring physical, fundamental football back. He paid serious dues at NU coming back and is a stud. Total respect for this man.
After the crap he took back in 95/96 from some of the other players in practice, and then earning their respect as time went on, you know he's more than tough enough for the HC job at Nebraska. Hell, some of those hits he took in the B12 title game against Texas were brutal, especially that chin shot that left him hurting and bloody. And as we all know, 1997 NC doesn't happen without him, and there's no disputing that, and he seems to have become a sponge, absorbing all that he's learned over the years and meshing it together to become the person he is today.
I posted back on November 12th on the subject of does 7 years/35 million sound about right for the new coach. I posted that right after I found out from someone I trust immensely, that the offer was there, it was simply up to Scott Frost to take it or turn it down after giving it as much thought as necessary.
I believed it then and I believe it now, Scott Frost will be Nebraska's next HC.
