If Kentucky gets the three, that game will be over rather late, after midnight, then they will have to play again at 3:00 or 4:00 the next day, and then we set the clocks forward and play at 1 the next day. Easy

Hhmmm …good info …was looking at the schedule today and I see us most likely getting the 2 seed for the tournament

Just FYI, since it is eastern time zone this year, the Thursday and Friday games start at 12, not 1 and evening session is at 6, not 7. So at the latest, we should be starting at 9 this year if we are the 3 seed. Still not ideal, but at least not 10/10:30.

I believe Cal cares about winning the tournament this year over most. He wants to stick it to a few coaches in a neutral court. I hope I’m right and we get thru it healthy.

He certainly appears to be more motivated to win every game this year. Seems to have an edge to him that I've never seen in him in his time at UK.

It was brought front and center when he went forehead to forehead with Pat Adams.

I remember one of the games in Nashville one year not starting until, that late. Wanna talk about BS. The winner of that game naturally didn’t win the next. Pitiful making teams start that late. No excuse for it either.

If we win out and win SEC tourney this is our resume, approximately. Assuming we are the three seed and we beat LSU, Arkansas, and Auburn on the way to the title … which would be a tough three games. That’s like a S16, E8, FF stretch to win the SEC tourney.

28-6 Overall record
12-6 Q1 record
Best true road win in the country at Kansas
Top 20 strength of schedule, with the way we are trending
Probably top 4 in predictive metrics, based on where we are now.
Probably top 4 in results-based metrics, although we have some work to do there
Probably top 4 in NET
Split with Auburn
Split with Tennessee
Split with Arkansas
Sweep against Alabama
Winning record against LSU

I think part of that is he’s tired of getting hosed by these stripes. He knows he has a really good team and he’s not going down without telling them what incompetent boobs they are.

I’m still amazed with contact to a referee that Cal didn’t get a big T for that!

Yeah Tennessee has the tie breaker over us, as does Arkansas, so we're staring at the 3 seed unless they both somehow lose this week.

F*ck that sucks.

You sure ? …Cause ESPN link shows us ahead of them right now even though we are tied

I believe that is in the event of a 3 way tie.

It's pretty much guaranteed to only be a 2 way tie because Ark and TN play each other, and I believe we lose out to both of those teams in a head-to-head tie breaker

We split with Tenn …have a better overall record and a higher ranking …not sure what the tiebreakers are if this isn’t it

I think more than that, he wants to prime our guys into playing there best basketball as a healthy group. And sees it more as a dress rehearsal for the dance.

Is there a site where we can bet on the SEC-T champ? I’m guessing our odds are about 5:1, which I would take this year!

I would give Auburn maybe 9:2, UK 5:1, UT and Ark 11:2, Bama 10:1, field 10:1.

I'm all for the SEC tournament becoming Kentucky's revenge tour for the conference this year. We want Arkansas, UT or Auburn or any combination the SECT can give us for that to happen.

Can't wait to see how it shakes out. In the end, we're going to be just fine.

Go Big Blue !

I really think Cal needs to take this week and make some adjustments for Grady. The SEC seems to have figured out the formula for beating us. Completely take Grady out of the game, limit Oscar the best that you can and make an injured Ty Ty and Wheeler try to beat them. I know this has been stated a million times on this board already but Cal has GOT to figure out how to get Grady open looks.

Another issue I see if the potential for Grady's legs to be a little tired from the long minutes he has been putting in. He needs to find ways to get him some spot rest. If his shots aren't falling in March it makes this team much easier to beat.

My prediction: UK is not the favorite to win it.

Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, heck I'll throw in Alabama and LSU..........

These other teams could win it.
