damn, a really bad 7 game stretch and you're ready to fire him. lol....
I wish you Cal-natics would quit trotting out that tired phrase "after a bad 7 game stretch" or "one bad season", etc. It's not just this season. It's looking at the past seasons, and noting how precipitous the decline from the first half of his tenure to the 2nd half. It's looking into the future at next season, and seeing how the roster is going to be more of the same: 1st year players who haven't a clue mixed in with a couple of grad transfers who'll take half a season to get comfortable enough in their surroundings to begin to produce like a normal upperclassman does out of the gate. It's early season losses to nobody schools. It's the piss-poor record against top 25 teams. It's the arrogance that saps any hopes we might have that there'll be changes to the system. It's year 13....3 years past the time he said he'd be here, and the way he's coaching lately, he actually did quit after 10.

Past seasons? Just last year they were 25-6 and going to be a #2 seed. Were you collecting money for a buyout then?

It is something to watch, right. It seems to be forgotten that we were definitely in the hunt last year before Covid. Two years before we were beaten on a last half second shot by Luke Maye to get to the final four. UNC ended up winning the tournament. The referees of our game with UNC had to sue to get UK fans off his back that year. 2020. We live in strange times.

As it has been stated! Cal will not be fired. But 2020 has not been his year, and his attitude towards his fans haven’t helped. But next year will be his true test if he is ready for a boycott. I’m ready to give him the joker treatment if need be.

I can agree it’s not time to fire Cal, but something’s gotta change. The one and done era has been accepted by most because of the wins, but never truly embraced. I think it’s time to change the way we recruit.

Cal needs to recruit guys he expects to develop and guys who want to stick around and be developed. Have to have some continuity every year to build on. Maybe recruit some kids based more on basketball IQ and ability to make shots and less on pure athleticism and their proposed ability to guard and or play 4 different spots. “Positionless” basketball ball is a great concept, but not if you recruit on being a great athlete as the only indicator.

Maybe don’t run a switching man to man and recruit and only play players athletically gifted enough to switch positions 1-5 as your main requirements for who you go after.

That’s why Cal hates “shooters”. Most “shooters” aren’t the best defenders or most athletic players on the court. That’s why they’re shooters, because that’s where they honed there craft. Cal hates they can’t play in his switching man D. It’s all about defense to him and 3s, especially against our teams, when missed can lead to easy transition points on the other end. He hates “shooters”.

Build a team and then recruit to your needs every year, and add a top recruit one and done type every year. But can’t keep building an entire team every year full of guys who expect to leave after one year. Or change your recruiting pitch to if your ready after one year go, but we want you to stay until your considered a first rounder. If you want to be in college only one year because you have to and plan to leave after one year regardless, this ain’t the school for you. But I can promise we will get you ready, may be one year or could be 4. Cal has proven he can get multi year guys drafted.

More than likely we would’ve lost by the 2nd round in last seasons NCAA tournament. Hagan’s had turned us into another team turmoil refusing to go back into the TN game then had to sit out the last reg season game against Florida. Outside of the loss to UNC over the past four seasons.
Cal lost to Tom Crean and a terrible Indiana team, to Bruce Weber and a terrible Kansas State team, and to Auburn that lost their best player the game before us.
Over the past 5 seasons we have looked like garbage until March. But even then Cal is flaming out in the tournament.
This season we look worse than garbage and don’t have to worry about flaming out in March because we won’t be there.
Cal has proven time and again that he’s too stubborn to change. How many NCAA tournament games has he lost in the same way? Missed free throws or his team looking like they never seen a zone defense.
He‘s so arrogant and stubborn he allows Boston and Clarke to shoot a woeful 18% from 3 and Allen can’t get off the bench.

Cals best years are behind him and most of the fans realize this. The sooner we move away from Cal the sooner we can start rebuilding our great program!

Rebuilding to a great program? Not counting last year due to Covid, Cals 11 seasons at UK include more ncaa tournament wins (31), final four appearances (4), elite rights (7) and sweet 16s (8) than any other coach. I get that this season is horrible but you and others in my opinion, are just punching at the wind. I am glad others have shown support as of late.

You're right, its definitely brutal around here lately from all of us. I haven't seen it this bad since the latter days of the Tubster.

I think MOST of us all actually agree. Cal needs to make changes.

The good thing about seeing all the negative threads is that all the haters have now shown themselves.

Yes!! You should memorize the list for future reprisals. Don't write it down and pin it to your bedroom wall like the dude from "Billy Madison". Your location can be found from your account. Go into deep cover. I recommend a Ghillie suit.

If you don't understand anything else about Cal, you should realize that Cal does things his way and he will only change if he thinks there is a reason to change. You are fooling yourself if you believe he thinks he should change. Cal measures success based on how many guys he can ship to the NBA at the end of the season. Cal won't consider the need for a change until his NBA pipeline starts drying up. When this occurs, Cal's change will be leave the university in a mess. It will take years to rebrand UK once he leaves.

Not worried about going undercover especially from you.
