The last 5 seasons not including this one yet, the highest KY has finished in 3 point shooting is 274th. That is awful and won’t get you a title.

Thank you for that statistic. That is terrible. I knew it was bad. But that's atrocious. Like I said in a different post. Cal is obsessed with the NBA and is so up on these kids he doesn't realize shooting is vital today? If you are a big in the NBA and you don't have a three pt shot in your arsenal. You're seen as a liability. Towns AD Boogie. All these guys added a triple to their game.

The game isn't played in the paint anymore. So wtf is Cal thinking. He's a smart guy. This just proves he's stubborn as hell.

Lol we are all fans here. Just some of us aren't currently happy with the direction of this program right now. And it's understandable. Doesn't make them vocal in grates. Cal isn't changing his philosophy and he's stubborn and people are sick of that.

It proves true with his recruiting. He doesn't think shooting is that valuable. So he recruits a punch of 4 and 5 hybrids that don't stretch the floor. They rim run and rebound.

He's not gonna win this way. It's changed. The game has changed. It's about three pointers now. And this guy is still recruiting like bigs run the game. They don't anymore.

There are many reasons we didn’t shoot well this past game. None have to do with recruiting. Let’s see if you can guess just 2 about of 8 or 10.

Arrogance more than stubbornness.

This is the annoying thing about this site. Yall are obsessed with weeding out trolls some of you get paranoid.

So I'm supposed to be happy with one title in 22 years?
Cals been here 11 and won that title. Not having another one in 10 plus years is something to be concerned about .

LOL! Fantasize much? Stop hand waving and give me the four kids on our team you want to to kick off and the 4 star players that would stay four years that can contribute you’d replace them with. Bottom line is you can’t. People that can’t deal with a loss do this every single year. Not a single one has EVER come up with a plausible plan. It always the laughable woulda, shoulda, coulda names from the past which is nothing but a pipe dream and the illusion of hindsight. The guy recruits the best available that aren’t full blown bozo. If he passed up a higher ranked kid and bet on a 3 or 4 yr project, he’d get crucified
Garza of Iowa was a 3 star, i would take him. Timme from Gonzaga was a 4 star, I would take him. I would take them over Sarr, and Ware any time. Those are just the first 2 that came to mind, I'm sure I could think of many more if I just took the time.

LOL!!! Based on one game? Why didn’t you tell Cal in July.... Just more blithering hindsight. Talk to me about 2021 and 2022.

Cal is a master adapter. He’s been on the cover of Sports Illustrated for being a master adapter.

But he spends so much energy adapting to his own roster turnover. And to trends in AAU/G-League/Overseas that affect both how he must recruit and how he must distribute clock to his signed recruits if he wants to keep pulling in rosters that turn over.

At Memphis he killed everybody by adapting to nationwide offensive and defensive trends better than anybody (and in general adapting to them with blue-collar guys). And then he made it even worse by taking a OAD here and there that happened to fit very well into the killer basketball system he was already running, and having the stones to actually start them.

Does he need to get back to that?

Monster rosters were not exactly what made John Calipari John Calipari. I wonder if he remembers that.

He needs to change his offensive philosophy, period. Run more motion that utilizes screens and back cuts and quit playing one on one basketball. He should be coaching for Ky and not the NBA. How many on here would like to have the Hollingsworth kid from WKU? Averages 19 per game and gotten better every year. Cal never offered. Change the damn system Cal. So very many of us are tired of watching a ****** system. Game after game of highly contested shots on offense that are launched with 2 seconds on the shot clock because no one can get open. Cal and Stoops, unreal. The only school in the country where the 2 big money maker programs have mules as head coaches. Change Cal, please.

Starting to think Tubby left “the plow” and Cal found it
