If you're like me, you can't wait for the NFL schedule to come out to see if you can catch Penn State on the road, near the Bills on the same weekend. I was able to pull this off in Indy a couple of years ago when the Lions played at Indiana, and the Bills played at the Colts. It's rare, but it happens. I also like to see what other events are happening when Penn State plays, regardless of the teams or leagues. When they played at Pitt a couple of years ago, we got to see the Pirates play the night before. Planning and searching for these types of weekends was always a hassle.
That's why I'm building an application that will help you plan your sports travel. I want to get input from a few of you seasoned Stadium Chasers or Sports Travelers.
GamePlan is a sports trip-planning tool that helps you find weekends when multiple games are happening nearby. Instead of planning one game at a time, you can build an entire sports road trip around a cluster of events, NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and college football (FBS), all in one place, saving you time and money. All while enabling you to make the most of your travels!
The tool has four options:

My GamePlan — Save two or more of your favorite teams in Preferences, then see when and where their schedules overlap geographically. Use the Distance and Days sliders to see how far and long you’d have to travel to see other events.
2.
My Road Trip Planner — Pick a team as your anchor and find other games happening nearby on the same weekend.
3.
City Scout — Enter a city you're traveling to and see what games are happening during your stay. Try adjusting the distance slider to pick up nearby events.
4.
Hot Weekends — Don't have a destination or team in mind? Are you a "Stadium Chaser?" Let the tool find the best sports weekends anywhere on the calendar.
