Cal can't develop talent and that's why he's been sticking his hands into the Grad Transfers the past few years. He has other coaches develop the players then promise them a spot over seas.

The transfers this year have been as big a disappointment or more than the freshmen.
You cant be serious. BJ and Clarke are literal trashcans. At least Mintz has had a big game or 2.

HH, a few things.
1. Nobody has performed to the level of sustainment like we have over time. We were never going to fall off.
2. I really like you and people take me wrong so don’t when I say this. You need to get your head out of your *** just a little bit and stop downplaying coaches like Beard. There is no flash in the pan. The guy has KILLED it at Texas tech and it took him 5 years to have that doormat program more relevant than Kentucky. Let that sink in. He’s currently near the top 10 AGAIN, gonna have a great seed and perform better than Cal AGAIN. Do you need 10 years to know it?
The Beard hate is so ridiculous I don’t think some of you pay attention at all and it’s irritating as hell. The guy would be a huge upgrade over Calipari but don’t worry, as soon as Kansas is done with Self he will be their first call. Get ready for Kansas to take more than just the all time wins when that happens. They will be more than happy to take that “flash in the pan” and kick our *** for a long time with him.
BTW if we do fire Cal I want Mark Few. At least hes proven to take a program from 0 to hero and make no mistake right now this program is a 0
Every West coast kid we've ever gotten has transferred back. The pac 12 is a very easy conference and its home to them. Also he sucks.
Can you imagine how Jai must feel about this season? I wonder if he thinks it was a mistake leaving Texas for this dumpster fire? I too hope he is really good at his job. My biggest concern, however, is that Cal doesn’t know what to do with players when he or someone else gets them. Changes need to be made, but our coach is either too stubborn or doesn’t know what to do. Imo, it’s both of these.
I mean in regards to Bobby Knight. Some fans still clamor for the guy. IU held onto him too long. Like we may be doing with Cal.
I think Jai is happy about his pay raise. I think Jai also knows he has a VERY tall task with recruiting this season. Collins was a gimme, the rest aren't.

2. I don't hate Beard, I am not sold on him. He had a good run with an AA. I would like to see more...that is my point.

It won't be a surprise when Cal signs a new PG and tells askew hes coming off the bench. I personally don't think the kid has the juice to be the future PG of UK. He reminds me a lot of Quade Green

1 and 3 are kind of the same.. and I agree we don't know if he can switch gears.
The only reason I can see Askew transferring is if Clarke reclassifys. The incoming guards aren't going to take Askews spot, who, while not perfect, has shown a lot of improvement. I think Ware and Fletcher are your most likely transfer candidates.
Lets remember, a lot of transfers happen, as far as we know, because of incoming talent that replaces them. If Cal can no longer recruit, the holdover won't likely leave.
Again, time will tell. But I think some of our problems and gripes will fix themselves on their own.

How hard would it be to find a coach to lose at home to Richmond by 12 and to Bama by 20? Lost to ND at home. Lose to UofL. Lose to Ga Tech. Lose to two of our biggest rivals.
I'd say there's about 15-20 coaches out there that coul do that.
Cal will always defer to the new toy PG. We've seen it time and time again. Also 1 is referring to player development. 3 is referring to OAD
Well you won't be happy when I tell you don't be surprised if Jackson transfers too with Collins and Oscar incoming.

No. Quade had to be ball ball dominant to succeed. Askew not at all. Devin is imo a solid backup at both the 1 and 2 at this point but has to play because no one ahead of him is better.
He could be a starting PG and do well like Epps. He needs that kind of talent around him tho.
IMO askew isn't athletic and he cant shoot. The reason Askew isn't a ball dominate PG is bc he simply lacks the skills to dominate on ball. He cant beat his defender off the dribble at all and he picks up his dribble way too often.
