Like what he said bout next year in post game coments. Seems fan base is kinda split bout him. I like him and he walked into a tough situation as a true Freshman.

I didn’t see what he said in the post game but I agree he’s good. I think he has a lot of potential.
Kid can play! That OL was terrible pass blocking, no real SEC RB, only one good WR to throw to. We have to upgrade all around him.
Our bigtime QB recruited from right down the road showed out last night too. Down 18 he brought them back with only 5 mins left in the game to get to the state championship. I'm not worried about the future of our QB spot.

I don't know why anyone would have a bad opinion of him. He literally rescued Lenny from going 1-11 and made him look competent in a few games. I know people will point to him as an excuse, but honestly he was better than Shapen. He and Coleman were one of the few bright spots we had.
So....where do you think he'll transfer to?
He was a freshman who played like a good freshman without a lot of protection. I'd be happy to have him back next season.
I've been back and forth on him, but we probably aren't getting anything better in the portal, so if he's in so am I.
Imo we need to spend our QB money keeping MVB and getting Kamario. If Shapen wants to return for cheap ok. Otherwise bye. I would prefer to go after youth with a high ceiling than experience that will probly get hurt again. And we need to hold onto our WR if possible. Portal money needs to go to DL/OL first. RB if there is a upgrade available and maybe that's it. But I think we need serious DL help.
I don't think shapen consistently throws the slant like a dart 2 steps in front of the receivers shins. MVB did some good things, but still has a lot to improve on as well.
Shapen is much better than Van Buren was as a FR. He was a 50% passer & a turnover machine. If he can fix those things he could be better in a year or two.
He is, which is why he won the job.
We have some work to do to keep VB out of the portal.
Leach once had a comment about all true freshmen QBs being bad, which has lowered my expectations, but I was happy with him. He will learn
I agree on QB. We can find an upperclassman if Shapen wants to walk.
DL is more of a priority than OL, IMO. We’ve got some pieces on OL to build around. We need 5 or 6 SEC caliber DL. That seems like an impossible ask for 1 class honestly.

Yes I agree DL is number one priority. We need a few studs. If they were good I think our DBs would look much better. Booth was ok but I think we could upgrade. Of course Gayten might be an upgrade by next year.
Except Shapen is actually the starter. Van Buren only played because Shapen got hurt.
I like where he's starting. He has room to grow, but I like the way he started.
