Catawampus was so much fun. Miss the days of lynagh’s. So much good music see there!Supafuzz and Catawampus - great bands. Loved the scene in the early and mid 90’s here in Lex.
Left Lane Cruiser, grungy blues-rock band out of Ft Wayne Indiana. Love their fuzzed out sound and driving beat. Their album cover art is pretty sick as well.
Been listening to the under-appreciated band, Steely Dan. Most know that the core of the band was Walter Becker (guitars, bass) and Donald Fagan (keyboards, vocals). That duo co-wrote the vast majority of their many hit songs. But after their first couple of years they knew that they hated touring, so by 1974 they chose to only do studio recordings. Because they hired session musicians for those recordings, few people know the names of the folks that made some incredible music.
Guitarist Jeff "Skunk" Baxter worked with Steely Dan many times. Including the masterful work on this hit.
Guitarist Elliott Randall plays on this one.
Jazz sax player Pete Christlieb was brought in for this tune. Largely improvised and nailed this gem on the second take.
Guitarist Larry Carlton kills it on this track.
I always loved The White Album ... classic !!
Loved uncle Tupelo and their children
