You take a job in the SEC you know what you're getting into.
I spent some time in Arkansas mountain biking last week and listened to some sports ralk radio Friday night....they were going on and on about all the QB's playing and all their stats and it was just crazy....one kid threw for something like 275 yards...ran for a few more...several TD's....and he accepted a scholly to play baseball at Arkansas State!! I was expecting to hear he was gonna play at a D 1 program..as a QB. Stats like that in Lincoln would have us drooling. It's a diffetent world down there...tons of QB's with stats that were eye popping
Arkansas is easily the weakest of the SEC states for recruiting. In the 2020 class the state was in a 6 way tie for 28th in terms 4-5 stars produced, along with IA, KS, NV, CO, WI. Arky doesn’t produce much for qbs either. There are plenty in the south and TX leads the way.
As for drooling over 275 ypg in Lincoln, Lincoln East Jr qb Noah Walters averaged 275 ypg this year with 28 td and 9 int, he also ran for 5 tds. Though kind of like the Ark qb you mentioned I don’t know that Walters is getting a lot of big time looks right now. I hope he does though.
