Watching the pregame for HOF game and it was good to see him. Nobody said “Hawkeyes” like Brent. Lots of great Hawkeye memories and games he called.

Still loved his voice and what he brought to the game. Got a little goofy at the end but who doesn't.
I was always a fan of Musburger and will always have fond memories of a particular game he announced.
Don't know what he said as I have ignored him, but does it have to do with the significance of red and white balloons being clutched by fans throughout the first half waiting for a score to release them?

And he stated in another thread he is 58 years old. What 58 year old in his right mind does the stuff he does? It’s childish. I actually feel kinda sorry for him. His entire life literally revolves around this board…and not in a good way. (Fran’s does too, but at least he makes positive contributions)

He's also a perpetual liar and a racist. You are right, though. He absolutely has a mental disorder and it's affected his personal life, so his coping mechanism is this message board. It's all he has, which is why he can't give up creating new accounts.
I think one of the final straws to send him over the edge was when one of his serious accounts that he used on the previous OT board got banned. After that it was all downhill and he was full-blown username troll.
The other sad thing is how much effort he puts in to making sure he can't be stopped from getting banned, not just from posting on here, but from creating multiple offensive and racist account names and being able to like spam everything.
I've talked to mods over the years and they've done everything from continuously banning accounts when they pop up to attempting IP bans, but my guess is his line of work gives him knowledge of how to work around potential system bans that can block him from doing anything with an account on these websites.
But that was Rivals. Who knows how On3 operates.....

I wouldn't give him that much sympathy. On the old Soundoff board, he told everyone he sold medical equipment to hospitals in the tri-state area, then said sometimes if he saw a pretty nurse, he'd go into the emergency department bathroom and jack it.

You are right though, it was a great year. If I recall correctly the next week Illinois came to town. At the end of the first quarter Iowa led 35-0. At the half it was 49-0. Final score Iowa 59, Illinois 0.
The Hawkeyes were really pissed off and took it out on Mike White's team- a team that deserved it.
