Not sure how he looks good against elite college guards and struggles against mediocre guards.

He's keeping UL n the game to be honest. They are scoring off his his TOs...UL can't score on UK's set defense.

It seems to be all about him. Uofl got the lead in the 1st half because of Murray forcing shots and turning the ball over.. If he keeps on forcing shots Uofl will be in this game quick..

Took Julius Randle forever to learn that his spin move in the paint would no longer work in college. Murray needs to learn the same thing for his dribble behind the back in traffic.

I think he learned to play basketball from playing horse because he just throws up some stupid shots all the time. He is worse than Archie Goodwin with his selfish play and trying to do to much. He needs to handle the ball less and just work on his game without the ball. Unfortunately, we are without Briscoe and he is handling the ball more than he should.

He doesn't draw enough fouls driving to the basket. If he can get to the point that he can, he'll be a consistent scorer.

Very frustrating today. I know he is young but if he continues to play like this, he will cost the team some games and came very close to doing so today.

Murray isn't quick enough off the bounce to create his own shot. He forced so many shots that led to a UofL basket and he turned the ball over that also led to baskets.. had he played within the offense we would've won by 20. He did hit some big shots though and we did win.. Sorry to be so hard on the kid. He learn.. Great game!

I thought he was fouled on that last dunk attempt. We don't win without his big shots in the 2nd half, sooooooo.

I think Cal needs to break the news to Murray on exactly what he wants him to do, and not to do. We need him to spot up and take the open three and if it isn't there then to give it up. I really don't want Murray taking people off the dribble. Basically, while he is here, shoot it or give it up. That's what Cal should tell him. Shoot it when you catch it, or pass it back. We don't need the other stuff from you. That, and play good hard defense and continue hustling.

I think he is struggling mentally. I watched him this summer playing for Canada. He is the real deal. Just trouble adjusting to college and/or Calipari.

Thoughts?

Very simple. This kid nearly gave away the game today; There is no way that he should have been allowed to stay on the court playing the way he was. He continuously dribbled into trouble and turned the ball over. All he had to do was catch and shoot and when the defense came out to guard him, a simple pump fake drive towards the basket for a midrange shot.
