This is my only time to see Murray or Morehead. My take is any of the SEC tournament teams will pound either one.Murray projected a 9 seed. They get by the 8 they might give the 1 all they want and more.
Don't know that I would disagree. But to be fair, I think Murray and Morehead St. would both beat St. Mary's on a neutral court - and St. Mary's just beat Gonzaga. Get in the Tournament and almost anybody can win a game. This is my only time to see Murray or Morehead. My take is any of the SEC tournament teams will pound either one.
Exactly especially if that said team is hitting everything and that higher seeded team is hitting nothing!Don't know that I would disagree. Didn’t see tonight’s game but Murray has looked fairly impressive the few times I’ve seen them play this year. Their last loss was a 13 point loss@auburn. Doesn’t appear the Williams kid has a great game tonight but he was the ovc player of the year so Murray prevailed without him doing very much. Murray should be a tough game for anyone that faces them in the dance. This is my only time to see Murray or Morehead. My take is any of the SEC tournament teams will pound either one.
You may be right. I only watched one St. Mary's game - but it was the game they beat Gonzaga, so I figured that was kind of at their best. Based on what I saw in that game I wouldn't even call them solid - but again that's just my opinion based on what I perceived. I thought the PG was ok, but I thought the 2G (Johnson) was not good at all (not a starting Div. I 2G). To me the rest of the guys looked like less than role players on an SEC team. As a team, I don't think they shoot well from the perimeter - although against Gonzaga they had a PF hit some 3s that he generally doesn't take/make. So, most of their points were in the interior, but they didn't look like they had anybody the was really a dependable go to guy there. Basically it looked like there was a hex on the basket for Gonzaga and/or Gonzaga threw the game.IMO, St. Mary’s is a solid team. Look for them to win at least one game in the NCAA.
