They don't operate under a governing body? That's the school choice they love so much and I want to see. No governance, no standards, and no oversight. Thoughts and prayers to a great Christian academy.

Let's look at a couple of potential situations.

#1. Team A is a member of the NCHSAA and is playing Team B who is ungoverned. Team A has a big lead in the 4th quarter and B's players start a bench clearing brawl. At least 15 ejected from each side. Team A's players must sit out for the ejections and the team may be banned from the playoffs. Team B laughs it off and plays again next week.

#2 Team C is a member of NCHSAA and Team D is not governed. On the first play of the game the players on Team C, all ranging from ages 15-18 approach the line of scrimmage. They look across at their opponents, ranging in age from 17-22. It might be a long night.

There are many other possibilities, it is governing bodies that provide as level of playing field as possible.

Absolutely great points. I didn't read the whole article but when I read they aren't under a governing body my mind went to the school itself then shortly after I posted I read no governing body as in no athletic association. So I don't blame Mtn Heritage one bit and wouldn't blame Murphy. Sounds like that good Christian academy are a bunch of inmates running an asylum.

Not to mention they have not won a game this season and may be a little mad at us Mountain teams. They are a Alternative School not a Christian Academy. I have no doubt their players are 17-22 years old.
