Hasn’t consumed me at all, I watched the spring game on Saturday, watched a great hockey game last night, did yard work over the weekend. If people let things consume them, then they get what they ask for.

The next few days weather wise are going to be great, I’ll enjoy that!
Ditto. Hasn’t consumed me and though I hate his moronic tweets, I have no real grudge against Trump — except one.

It is beyond my comprehension how anyone — especially anyone who grew up during Vietnam years and didn’t serve — could even slightly diminish John McCain’s heroism. I was 1A draft status for Vietnam and at the time thought I was lucky I had a high lottery number. As the years have passed, I have come to feel very guilty that I didn’t volunteer for service like McCain. God bless him for his extreme sacrifice.

I never thought I'd see the day that the US would be run by the Russians. Putin's pet wasted no time in undermining NATO, capitulating in Helsinki, and attacking institutions critical to our security (FBI, NSA, CIA, etc).

The Russians and Chinese are ahead of us in Hypersonics and AI but we're diverting billions from our defense budget to build a wall to keep them browns out. Sweet.
Wrong on the first, wrong on hypersonics:

Same here. Will never vote for the GOP again. Doesn't mean I'll vote for the Democrats, but I sure won't vote for the GOP.
Problem is, I don't think either party represents REAL America. The GOP didn't want the guy who won. The DNC is giving the appearance of being run but fanatical nuts. I don't see that representing the people i interact with and I have people that I disagree with. However we agree on more than we disagree with. That's what middle America is.

So you decide to bring it here?

It's not enough the outlets spin it non-stop. Now we have to rehash the regurgitated partisanship here? I come for stories of the Huskers stoking the fires, listening to the Rocky 4 soundtrack and working towards a singular goal: "To crush our enemies, to see them driven before us and to hear the lamentation of the women."

... I also come for the yoga pants threads.
Yoga pants threads????
Where??

Never met a single one of his supporters that liked or approve of everything he does, the fact is he acts like a child sometimes, but the other side gave me Hillary, who should be in prison, and I think he's doing a great job overall and I will take the bad with the good and vote for him again. IMO, warts and all, he's the best thing that has happened to this country since Reagan, and have you seen who's running for the other side this time? Freaking yikes.

Trump sucks and I disagree with him and his ways on many levels. Democrats are nuts and want socialism.

Pretty screwed either way for a few years. Is what it is. I’ll try to vote a different Republican in, but think it’s an uphill battle at this point.

Country is just too divided and it keeps moving more toward being polar opposites of one another. This will eventually end very badly for all if it keeps gravitating that direction.

I don't even like Trump, but I don't see how it's beneficial at all to have a standing US President tied up in an investigation his entire term in office. The sooner any investigations wrap up the better. They already lasted way too long as it is.

Nikki Haley will be a good option, in 2024 for the right. Democrats have some good options this time around even (I think Howard Schultz would give Don a real run for his money) but they are pandering to the extreme left wing (a losing battle IMO). I have a feeling both sides are gonna have a few nuts occupy the WH before a more civil, middle of the road candidate restores normalcy

I was Vietnam generation also - I appreciate McCain service and sacrifice - however that does not justify everything else he has done later in life. At the end he seemed to show pettiness

The primary electorate of the GOP view Haley as Jeb Bush in a skirt. As far as the Coffee King, for years the board was dismissive of Pelini hiring the golf pro as a WR coach. Schultz as Prez is the equivalent of that. I wouldn't hire a brain surgeon to build a house. If you want civil, middle of the road, register as a Dem and vote for Joe Biden.

Because McCain trashed citizens...his VA watched veterans die and he voted against healthcare because he didnt like Trump a petty move.

Not to mention he voted against an MLK holiday in his state. ..A real American hero who gave his life for his fellow Americans...not shot down in a plane he had no business flying and his daddy.

So, whose opinion of the President changed as a result of this investigation/report? Anyone? Bueller? I didn't think so. Which is why these political threads on an internet message board are worthless.

Truth is always good. ..but go ahead..drink your beer and watch the game...lol

I hope the Democratic congress impeaches for obstruction of justice. That will mean Trump is re- elected and we do not have to live in a socialist country at least for another 4 years maybe some reason will return to the left by that time

Biden looks like Reagan next to these other Dem candidates. I don't want to vote for Trump (I didn't in 2016) but I may have have to this time.

Truth is usually somewhere in the middle. Trump did not legally conspire or obstruct, but he did say and do some suspicious things. In fact, the report found that he wanted to obstruct the investigation, but his aides wouldn't let him.

IMO McCain was good in his service and was subject ot torture and he deserves all of my respect in that sense, no doubt.

I am a disabled veteran military retiree. My last duty station was Luke AFB outside of Phoenix. I lived there for several years and got to the point that I would not vote for Mr. McCain as he NO friend of veterans or military members or disabled vets. He was against the vast majority of pro veterans benefits bills, That is IMO.

It's amazing how many of you have read a 400 page report so quickly. Aren't most people just regurgitating the crap the talking heads are spewing on the tv and radio channels they prefer, depending on the particular slant they want to hear instead of looking at it for themselves. The crap flows both ways, as usual.

Thats because the investigation was a set up and he knew ir..I have followed this for 2 years..the investigation was a setup

He doesnt have to sit their and take it.

He didnt use any executive privilege...gave millions of documents and didn't fire anyone.

There is nothing there but lies and butthurt.

If only there had been a non-scandal that afflicted the last president, then maybe all the handwringing and pointing of fingers in this thread would hit a uniquely guilty party...

It’s a bizarre political climate we live in right now, and much of that falls squarely on the charlatan who sits in office.

The same person who perpetuated the first hoax has no appreciation for facts or the truth, as has been proven time and time again. He calls the Mueller report a ‘complete exoneration’ every chance he gets when it concludes specifically that it is not. His base doesn’t seem to care.

Now, before some of you rush to conclusions and see this as a defense of the tactics of some on the left—it is not. The charlatan in office is merely the purest form of the politican that draws my ire today. I am frankly embarrassed by the state of politics in this country and tired most of all of creating and blaming boogeymen (the left, the right, the media, illegal immigrants, the rich). Our democracy is very sick right now and I have little faith there will be a cure anytime soon.

They tried to illegally kick Trump out of office.

The state of our politics is as much our fault as it is theirs.

I'm reading it myself without listening to the pundits. See Page 158 of the report: "The President's efforts to influence the investigation were mostly unsuccessful, but that is largely because the persons who surrounded the President declined to carry out orders or accede to his requests".

Spot on.

It's embarrassing that there are a large number of people (on the left, on the right) who have been elected to high office in this country who I would not trust to successfully arrange a field trip to the zoo. Some of them have been in office 4 months, some of them 40 years.

At the top, our last election gave us the choice of Trump or Clinton. Only thing guaranteed about pulling the lever on that one: No matter which way you went, we were guaranteed to lose.

Next time up, we are going to likely have unstable Trump vs. one of the current field of 30 loons currently with their hat in the ring, trying to out-do each other on who can lurch to the left farthest and fastest.. I keep waiting and waiting for a candidate I don't think is a fringe lunatic to toss their hat in: I have voted for both Dem and Republican presidents in the past and my vote is definitely in play 2 years from now.

Current state, it's like the island of misfit toys playing out in real life. I keep hoping that a rebublican who is not crazy will emerge to give the party a viable candidate to run against Trump. So far there is Bill Weld and nobody. So looks like I get to keep waiting.

In my lifetime, I have refused to "not vote" , but if it turns out that it's Trump vs. anyone who has thrown their hat into the ring so far, I might have to reconsider.

Sure wish I could like this more than once. One of the best things is exposing the swamp which no one can disagree with exists, and the dishonesty and bias of the press. The swamp has no understanding of you and me and could care less about anything than what evolves around DC. Both parties guilty.
