Lots of venom on the other thread, these are the teams playing now. Good luck to both, and especially to Tabor from your former conference mates at ND. Be safe out there on Friday guys! And I do mean everyone.

Should be a great game. Two teams that want to rush the football. Game may be over by 9pm. Both teams have played tough schedules. Both teams enjoying long winning streaks. Weddington has been to the title game twice in recent years. Tabor is 3-2 alltime in regional final (final 4) games. Spartans looking to make their fourth appearance in the a state title game and still chasing their first state title. Should be a big crowd on hand. Hope the weather is dry. May the best team win

Weddington is the best coached team I’ve ever seen. Like everybody says all the time, they don’t impress you getting off the bus but I’ll be damned if they aren’t ALWAYS where they need to be. Albright is tough as nails and 25 for tabor is also really electric but I just can’t imagine weddington letting them go off for 175+ yards. They’ll need to be able to pass. Weddington is a complete football team. If it was Vegas I think they’d be favored by 10

i think weddington is going to be very hard to beat.weve had a couple of really talented teams that weddington came up here and beat us .they beat an undefeated number 1 seed by 4 touchdowns friday night.i dont see this game being much different.good luck to both teams and hope they have an injury free game.

My take is a strong Weddington team comes into Winston on Friday and dominates a semi final game.

The lack of offensive balance for Mt. Tabor will put them in a really tough position Friday night against a stout defense from Matthews. Weddington showed last week that being on the road against a really good rushing attack is not something they are going to struggle with. Tabors passing attack is nearly non existent and what there is feeds off of the run being dominant. Tabors defense could keep them in the game if they play mistake free but it's just not the feeling I get for this one.

No disrespect to Mt. Tabor, but hoping for another wet night might be their best bet. I would say Weddington by 20+.

True. I guess on grass it will slow a fast team down some but the faster team is still faster wet or not. On turf the run doesn't do much to slow a fast guy down. Throwing in the rain however, that's a whole different story. If your passing game is non existent then I guess its a "wash". haha

This is true. Tabor usually has athletes so it doesn't matter what style they run, they can change from year to year... Saw OC Wardlow drop bombs to Ryan Taylor, and then Hunter Furr run over people a couple years later.

Obviously this year they are more about the run but watch out for those receivers. They'll try to get past you and go over the top in a second.

Man....OC Wardlow, now THAT was a DUDE! Yes, I think Tabor will need some of those over the top plays. But... it isn't in Weddingtons character to allow very many of those.

It's going to be fun to see how it goes.

Weddington is rolling in this game. I can’t say how the Rockets would have faired, but I’d like to think it wouldn’t be 21-0 in the beginning of the second.

Yo. So I left this game early. Mid third quarter and it was 35-0. Weddington came out and dominated from the begging. Weddington is bigger, faster, more discipline, better, better, and just flat out better.

I had a feeling Weddington was going to win. But damn, I didn't expect this *** whooping. Tabor offense is just too predictable and their defense is too slow and small for Weddington.

Hat's off to those boys out there.

I think you guys match up better against them because you have a better more diverse offense. But this Weddington Offense is something serious. I feel like y'all would have scored more.

Some pretty hard headed play calling from Tabor. I saw some good looking ball players on that field last night , that touched the ball once or twice. I don't care how good a runner the QB is , if you run him EVERY single play and never mix it up, it gets pretty easy to stop. Sometimes blow outs are boring and you feel bad for the other team except when the other team chirps all night ..that makes em fun !!

agree 100%, the play calling for them was horrible for tabor when they played us. Also they chirped all night and after the game didn't line up and shake hands, they stormed the field, ran to our sidelines and taunted our players and fans. They were very poor winners.

Guess I should have gone with 30+. I was trying to be cordial.

Looks like the program at Weddington has not taken even the slightest step back after losing Carson.

I did expect Tabor to really handcuff themselves with the lack of a passing game and man was I right. If you can't get Weddington off balance at all you are in for a LONG night.

Would have enjoyed an ACR / Weddington match up much more but I'm not sure even they would have given much to the Warriors.

I went with 30+ because I knew.... If ACR could muster a game minus turnovers inside the 10 would be there only shot. ACR had a better chance at giving the Warriors a game but.... couldn’t get it done against Tabor. Congratulations to Tabor for a western final and to the Warriors for advancing. Bring it home to the West boys!!
