Are some of the worst in the country.

I can’t stand the banner logo on the Jerseys. Would like to see us use the script state uniforms that we wore in the first round NIT game last year. Those were really cool. Then I wish we would go back to something similar to the 95 and 96 uniforms or something like that. UT has gone back to the old school look several times this year and the uniforms look pretty good.

Anything other then that banner logo is better. I can’t stand that ugly banner logo.

I’m afraid one thing that limits us is the M-State logo.

It’s good for a company letter head but doesn’t do much for sports branding. I’d love to see something attractive with a bulldog in the logo. (Not walking Bully). But something new and creative.

This will be an unpopular take on the subject:


The NEW "Banner M" is the best logo we've had in a while. The minimalism, the cross-sports correlation, & the recognition can only move us forward.

I understand we long for the MSJ, Walking Bully, et al., however these are fan feeling reminiscences. I don't think we need to incorporate the banner, like the maxi-pad helmets, into every aspect of any uniform.

But, as far as a standard logo, it's better than we've ever had.



Now, if they try to 17 with the baseball logo...IB & I are going to meet at Sonic!

He isn't wrong. The Mississippi State legal watermark logo or whatever it's called is hideous on uniforms. MSU, State, Miss. State, Bulldogs all look infinitely better on a jersey than what you see on the entrance signs driving into campus.

This was my pitch this past offseason; think what we have now isn't terrible, but agree that we can do better than the "banner logo" on the Men's uniforms.

Side note- the "Black History" month uniforms (linked above by expireddog) that we're wearing against South Carolina on the 23rd actually turned out looking really good for us, moreso than most of the other Adidas schools. Will be the first time we've had "Mississippi" - number - "State" on the front of the jerseys since 2002.

Who F-ing cares. We can’t win a meaningful game. Our uniforms shouldn’t be meaningful.

You can tell when the season is officially over is when we start a uniform thread. It's all we have now.

It really doesn't matter if we have a great looking uniform, Howland would forget to dress us out in those.
