MSU soccer big win over TAMU tonight

Congrats to the soccer dogs with their 1st ever win vs perennial power TAMU. Coach Armstrong has the team headed in the right direction.

Big game this weekend vs AR then next week at home vs ole miss.

Not only a nice win, but one hell of a rally as well. Trailed 1-0 for most of the game, but scored 2 goals in the final 4 minutes.

Outstanding. That being said I just can't get into women's soccer. If we had a real men's team I wouldn't miss many games Thursday-Sunday. I love the game.

I am pretty sure she was not trying to shoot it there, that looks like an attempted cross to the girl running toward the far post, and it just so happened to find the net at the perfect angle where the keeper couldn't reach it. Nothing wrong with that at all, though.

I really wish someone would sell some MSU Soccer gear- especially a replica jersey. I'm guessing they don't do it because "the market for that isn't big enough," but there is literally zero MSU soccer gear on the https://www.hailstatestore.com/. If you search soccer on there, the only thing that comes up is an SEC Soccer tournament shirt from 2020. At least campus bookmart stocks the generic Mississippi State banner soccer shirt.

Just for reference- volleyball also has zero gear on there, and softball has 1 t-shirt. I know softball has more gear in season, though.

My guess is she was trying a shot/cross. You see that sometimes where a player attempts a cross but puts the ball on goal so there's 2 chances to score. Really creates problems for the GK deciding which one to defend (although in this case the GK wasn't going to get to either).

Yeah they are better than their record (sorry, Bill Parcells). They have not allowed more than 2 goals in conference and have only lost one conference game by more than 1. And that was 2-0.

For what it's worth, she said she was trying to chip the GK since she saw her come out, and knew she had the runner to the back post in case she missed the shot.
