This is just funny watching. I am beginning to wonder if Michigan State gave their defense the week off and brought in that fake high schools D in their stead. This is just weird how bad they look. This is how teams that quit on their coach look, not just got a major contract upgrade.

Big Ten schools need to stop being stupid by playing games at baseball fields. The footing for NW vs Purdue is terrible.

All the Tucker lovers are pretty ****ing quiet...dude won the lotto this year.
Well he is 9-2 in year 2. His coaching resume isnt about one game in his second season. 10 years 95 million is a bit much, but he has done a good job there. There is a reason he has been talked about for the USC and LSU jobs more than any other coach.

He has a good agent?

After today he will be 16-14 as a head coach. He is a miracle shanked punt away from being a .500 coach.

Mike Riley finished 9-4 in his second season, glad we didn't offer him 95 million.

Mike Riley was a very mediocre coach at Oregon state and never elevated Nebraska. Mel tucker has turned Michigan state into a good football program. They are much better now than the last couple of years under dantonio. Ill be willing to bet msu doesnt doesn'tt go 4-8 next year.

Mel is 16-14
Riley is 112-99

So about the same %...so what makes Mel great and Riley very mediocre?

Can you expand on that? What makes him a good coach?
Won multiple national championships as an assistant; Ohio srate and Alabama. Was a great DC at Georgia and was a play away from a NC there. Elevated both Colorado and Michigan state. Highly respected by great coaches throughout the sport. Explain how he isnt a good coach? If getting blown out by Ohio state means you arent a good coach, there arent many good coaches in college football. There certainly arent any good big ten coaches.

He is not getting paid to be an asst coach.

What makes him a good HC?

Is it fair to say that right now, he is in fact an average HC?

I don't think they'll go 4-8 either but I don't see a 95m coach here. They're lucky to have the record they have this season and just got horse wanged by Ohio State.

Yep...

They are 3 plays away from having 4 losses right now...in other words they are closer to being a lame team...and far away from being great.

They will get stoned by PSU next week as well.

You asked what makes him a good coach. I gave you his resume. He isnt the most experienced head coach yet, but he is 9-2 in year 2 and he elevated Colorado too. We will see, but ID bet anyone he isnt going to be mike Riley like some suggest

If Nebraska were looking this season do you think Mel Tucker would be a name most Husker fans would bring up?

I bet he will never end up with as many wins as Riley...

He will need about 10 seasons with an average of 8 wins just to tie Riley...

So now I am asking what makes him a good HC. Could you tell us that?
