Sparty clearly thinks their guys are at least partially at fault and I won’t argue with them on that because they are. But this is now 3 incidents in half a season in that tunnel - half time of Ohio State last year, half time of Penn St, and Saturday night. James Franklin said after the Penn St game that the league needed to step in and force a change or something bad would happen. Predictably Harbaugh called Franklin a whiner and the league did nothing because heaven forbid somebody in the league office take issue with Michigan.

Now we have a broken nose, suspensions, and criminal investigations with the possibility of criminal charges to come.

Way to lead Kevin, way to lead.

Love to hear what he said to them. Depending on what it was, yes, he should have fully expected a reaction from multiple players.
Again, I get what you are saying but only one group is wrong here.

I think the fact that it was multiple players that all attacked and made the wrong choice is even worse.

From my understanding from a Michigan friend, the opposing team enters the locker rooms first before the Michigan players..

Watching the video the Michigan player that was attacked went in the same time with the MSU players that were heading into the tunnel..

Man...we get it...you love dudes getting beat up by 4 people. Haha
These things aren't mutually excusive for ***** sake. If the M guy made it a point to approach the group to tell the MSU players he was going to bend their g-friends over and give it to them (or any # of comments to insult the players or their loved ones) he was wrong. The MSU players were wrong to respond the way they did if M player wasn't threatening to kick their ***. Both can be wrong, at the same time. This is not difficult. Nothing controversial here. I'm done, have a good one.

I agree, it is not difficult.

You also have a good one!

Woof. Didn’t think I’d see Husker fans defending the instigator. Anyone involved needs the old B1G wrist slap. I remember when Nebraskans were tough, and didn’t defend idiots running their mouth. FLLLLLLLLLLost really did a number on this fanbase. Even the fans got super soft under his watch

The problem in todays soft world, it’s okay to express your feelings without any repercussions, if there are repercussions especially physical ones, then it’s the fault of or last one to get caught …

Bingo! Pussification of America. We let people gather in streets, and allow them to confront people in public. Then we blame the people they corner if they dare fight back. Clown world. Multiple generations of idiots raised to stand behind everyone and hurl insults. In this case, the idiot didn’t stop running his mouth when his buddies weren’t there for him. Pretty simple. 30 years ago society wouldn’t make him a victim, they’d tell him he’s an idiot

Sorry, no. In 1992 if 4-5 FB players were stomping on and swinging a helmet at a player (without their helmet on) , it would have been a big deal with repercussions.

Yeah, especially after the game. It was not like a fight during the game.

This weird idea that "back in the day" this would have been okay is just what, weird.

Well not every school has teams walking in the same tunnel after a game. That is the issue. It was brought up prior several times to MI ad they said it's not a problem. Now it is a problem.
That doesn't give you the right to assault someone just because you walk down the same damn tunnel as them SMH.

Seems to happen all the time there.

What's the common denominator?

A) MSU players and staff
B) PSU players and staff
C) Ohio State players and staff
D) Michigan players and staff

Not being able to be a man and control yourself is soft. Jumping someone isn’t being tough or being a man, it’s soft.

And yet, not a single video produced of the Michigan player “hurling insults” or instigating anything at all (and no, “skipping” doesn’t by itself justify a 10 on 1 beating). Not one shred of evidence that he started anything. But don’t let that get in the way of a good pussifcation/soft generation soapbox rant.

I did not say that. I said the tunnel was the problem that caused it. If they walked out in separate areas that doesn't occur.

Juwan Howard has no issue with what went down.

He's pretty clearly in the corner of "f**k around and find out". McBurrows found out.

This.

Here's Ohio State / Michigan in the tunnel last season.

Here's PSU / Michigan in the tunnel this season

Franklin on the incident:

"It’s a problem and has been. To me, we need to put a policy in place from a conference perspective in my mind that’s going to stop — we’re not the first team to kind of get into a jawing match in the tunnel"

Harbaugh on the incident:

“Really got bigger fish to fry than Coach Franklin’s opinion on the halftime tunnel from a game ago,” Harbaugh said. .......... (Franklin) looked like he was the ringleader of the whole thing. But, no, I’ve got bigger fish to fry than to worry about that kind of whining.”

And here's last week. Notice James Franklin was not present.

The one head coach present at all three of these incidents? Jim Harbaugh.

Maybe Kevin Warren needs to look into how it is Harbaugh's teams keep coming face to face with visiting teams in the tunnel, and find out specifically why Harbaugh thinks these altercations are nothing to worry about.

The kid is a dummy. He got what he had coming.
I'd hold the MSU players accountable for their actions in particular.

But THE problem is Meatchicken. Their stadium has forever been inhospitable to visiting teams and it's disgusting.

Either the B1G deals with their beloved prize child, or this will only continue to get worse. Lucky nobody DIED with a helmet swinging around like that...

Michigan stadium seems to be set up for issues. Add in a coach who seems to be okay with some controversy and apparently staff, on the team and the stadium itself, who can’t/won’t/don’t keep the teams and players away and this will continue. Seems to be getting worse from tOSU to Penn State to now MSU. Expecting Kevin Warren and the conference to step in and force the issue to be resolved quickly and properly. . . . bless your heart.

Warren will probably fine the three visiting schools that keep picking on Michigan in their tunnel.

And a warning fine for Nebraska just because we're likely to cause a problem there in the future.

We obviously need congressional hearings to determine weather or not single tunnels for use by both teams should be banned. This is an outrage! Tunnels are out of control!

Warren has to ask Alvarez first what he thinks about the situation..

First you are making all sorts of assumptions. But even if you are right and he (the first player attacked) was running his mouth, yes he was jumped. Multiple players clearly jumped In throwing punches, on a defenseless person. I really can’t see how you can defend this.
Also, it's one thing to throw a punch. It's another to be swinging your helmet like one of the MSU players did.
