I fully expect Nebraska to be 3-0 going into conference play. Iowa has a different story. Rutgers at home week 2 and get an extra week to mesh before going to Ames week three. Then a bye before Middle Tennessee State. Starting 4-0 is possible but a trip to Ames will be tough.
Plus, it's Ames. Am I right?

They played great defense and got some HUGE turnovers and a big long pass play. That MSU defense was salty as well. Most points for both teams were on short fields due to turnovers.

MSU Offense was the worst in their conference compared to the Georgia,Florida,Auburn, LSU and ATM..

Good thing Iowa didn’t have to face those offenses.

I'm guessing they ride that momentum to an eight-win regular season. Oh, and "very good" teams don't go 4-4 in the conference. They don't go 5-4 or 3-6, either.

Based on that theory Nebraska should be winless next year. The bright spot for Nebraska missing bowl season is they couldn't lose another game.

Everyone on this board will be dead of old age when that happens

"Dead of old age"

Isn't that the phrase reserved for referring to anyone who was around the last time Iowa accomplished anything of significance on a football field?
