Hoping for the 6th seed ... Extra win in tourney and miss UMD until the finals ... NW wins and 4 way tie for 3rd ... Sucks to lose to a team with a losing record ... They lost by less than 10 to UMD

I knew this game would be close, but not where M State has dominated us the entire game. They have 4 lousy wins in conference and are 12-14 overall. Stringer's teams by now get stronger, not weaker and dumber.

I'm not writing this game off yet, we still have time to get it together and steal the W. But the offense needs to start NOW or it will not happen.

Dream on. They've played embarrassingly poorly for 34 mintues and can't hit the broad side of a barn. You expect them to get it going NOW?

im pretty pissed too but some of the overreactions on this thread are funny...like I said, the only thing im mad about is betting outhustled

Embarrassing defense letting that girl get layups like that

47-38 but at 4:48 it might be too late since they cannot make a basket that isn't transition

Over reactions! LOL! I like you and others with the mamby-pamby UNDER REACTIONS. You can sugarcoat it all you want, but they have played HORRIBLY today in every facet of the game.

Let's not over-react. Copper is playing very well. Laney and Scaif both having horrendous shooting games. We could handle one, but not both.

We were hanging in there until we stopped defensive rebounding. Put backs killed us. It doesn't help that we foul trying to get back in it and they won't miss their foull shots. And why can't we get an offensive rebound?

Our team averages around 70 points per game and with 4 minutes left we have scored 38. You think "some of us" have a right to over react today against a crappy M. State team?

The sad thing is Iowa lost yesterday, even though I was pulling for Iowa to win so that in case we crapped in our shorts today, we don't get overtaken by a team like O State who has beaten us this year. Well, I guess this is going to get dicey now.

Looking at the stats on ESPN ... Bad game by Tyler, 3 point shooting from MSU is the difference ... RU has 20 steals and only 13 TOs.

first off u have no idea my opinion on this team. if you read my posts at all you will know I am a realist and have had my differences with CVS's coaching style over the past few years but she has adapted. the fact is, outside of UConn, the rest of the women's teams are pretty much second tier. we have had a pretty good season. should have beaten at least one of b/w Tennessee or UNC. had a few down games where we won and a few outstanding wins. if you remember, I was the one who started the thread that thread that this team has "an inability to put teams away" and then responded with 2 blowout wins.

Today sucks. a lot, I am angry about the lack of hustle and that the team seemed to have underestimated MSU. It's one game howver, it's a lesson they will learn and there are three games left plus the tourney. Im seeing people talking about how the team "SUCKS", saying the starters should be yanked when there is still a shot to come back among other embarrassing comments.
after today, who would you rather be, us? or 5-11 MSU?

Look at Stringer with 3:41 to go. Just shaking her head in disbelief. I hope she makes them run wind sprints after the game or something for punishment. This is not on the coaching staff today. This is on the players.

You're right, I have no idea about your overall opinion, but I don't like people like you who are so quick to call out other people who disagree with you. As for being a "realist" I'm glad to learn that. So am I. And I have my opinion too. This was NOT the game to choke and our women pulled the worst choke job of the season at the wrong time. I don't care that it's just one game. Today, they were outworked, outrebounded, outshot. I have NEVER seen so many missed open looks from this iteration of this team. And to lose this was against a CRAP team is a DISGRACE!

Wtf we should never lose to a team under .500 the reason we have never won the NCAA championship right here on the court today. This is a team that loses focus too easily.

No, I think Stringer must share in the blame, because:

Put the press on way too late.

I didn't see any actual plays or purpose on our possessions.

And now Rachel is carried off in a game that's already decided.

This game will do wonders for Scaife's confidence. I think Shrita needs to start the next two games...Tyler's head is messed up.

MSU is nota crap team. they are better than their record. I have a problem with people who call 18-22 year old girls "crap" and "garbage" and "sucks"

I think they played fine, outside of the fact that they couldn't shoot at all. These things happen. The defense looks good, and I thought they were getting good looks on offense. Until I see otherwise I am just posting this up to one of those nights.

Cynthia was in for about a minute, didn't get a shot off, back to the bench. Hard to get in the flow of the game if that's all the opportunity you get.

Holy cow, we're within 7.

Cvs needed to use the 55 in the first half when it was evident this game would be a struggle

RUCONN, give it a rest. They have played like CRAP! M. State's team is CRAP! And what we've witnessed today with our women is CRAP! So please, get over your sanctimony. If you're a realist then show it instead of, "Oh well. It's okay. We lost to a team that was better than this...Blah, blah, blah." This is NCAA BB not Tiny Tike BB where everyone gets a ribbon.
