Another slow start..17-9...and another team that beats us from 3....it does not seem the defensive effort is there today
please explain to me how tyler scaife travelled on that last call. She gets a rebound, her path is blocked and she's bumped by a defender, and she didnt travel
The inconsistency of the officiating is horrendous. Touch foul on Kahleah called. No foul when Tyler gets clobbered.
why the heck did they run 2.0 seconds off the clock when that 3 hit?

Not a very good first half. Need to come out swinging in the 2nd half. Our shooting is poor and how did we give up that 3 to Powers at the buzzer.
Rutgers is struggling mightily against the zone...they are going to have to really turn up the defensive pressure to get the offense going in transition....down 27-20 pretty poor.Michigan State is just 12-14 but they are in complete control of this game..not hacing a 3 point game killing them as MSU is draibing 3s on us

Don't leave a three point shooter wide open just before the buzzer....we always do this. Instead of a four point halftime deficit it is seven. We play great defense and then give up a three.
At least we got one of our piss-poor offensive slumps out of the way.
Tyler can't shoot today. Rachel can't catch or hold onto a rebound. WHY HASN'T LANEY TAKEN ANY SHOTS (except for a three????) And why do we constantly force the ball inside to a packed zone? Very bad play calling...come on. coach, straighten this team out.
The one positive is we haven't committed many fouls.

This game is a complete joke.Michigan State stinks and they have a 7 point lead at half time,27-20.Rutgers is sleep walking and their three best scorers are having poor efforts shooting and ball handling.A performance like this in the NCAA and Rutgers will be lucky to get past the first game.Stringer better be doing a lot screaming to wake up the team and they better be pressing after every basket made.

IDK bac, we started first 3 possessions with low passes to Hollivay let's leave that to poor choices.
They have 2 deep 3's from arc but If not for the last we'd be down by 4 at half. That was Powers one of their best players and we've held her to 6 points.
Only problem is Tyler's jumper is off today, but she's got 3 boards, 3 steals, and 2 assists so she's not giving up.
I don't think we even needed Cynthia that half to hit shots, but I would have liked to see her put in to open up lanes for better open jumpers from Kahleah and Tyler
I'll take being down by 7 but I don't feel like MSU is in control

Jmm spoton...why is team so passive and allowing MSU to do whatever they want. Its like they didn't show up
When a team is this out of it, it is very hard to get them to play. Stringer needs to really get their attention. "Pack up the balls ladies, you've obviously all got your heads up your arm pits. Might as well just mail this second half in" That will get their attention.
Well, when you give up that many wide-open looks from 3 point range, you can't be shocked when a high % of them go down.
We should do everything we can to speed up the pace of this game. We are much better on offense in transition, we are doing a good job of stealing passes, and they are apparently a thin roster. Push the ball and press after made baskets.

Second half: same predictable offense with no effort to drive or create open looks. Plus we can't shoot today. Why isn't Laney shooting...injury? Actually, Laney has done nothing offensively today, at least Tyler is trying to score.

We blew the Purdue game open by creating turnovers on defense..need to do same here..we are playing at their pace
We stink just letting them blow by us on defense. Disgraceful. We can't throw the ball in the ocean on offense. Say goodbye to 3rd seed in Big Ten. No one to blame but ourselves. They must have been watching our men play too much.

We haven't beaten a good team yet this season, and now we struggle with a second-tier team. Really pisses me off.
I can see a close loss but this is becoming an embarassing blowout.

What a choke job by this team!!!! Scaife is 1-11 from the field. I have NEVER seen her so far off. And can't we hit a damn FT? My god! They're being outhustled and outrebounded under the boards on both ends of the floor. Disgraceful knowing how important the rest of these games are for seeding in the B1G Tourney and the NCAA's The ladies are now down 14. Absolutely abominable!
