First, let me say that I really appreciate all these mockups you're doing. I love the retro maroon and great unis.

Also, I'm a fan of black jerseys in general. But I don't love these. I think the uniform needs more maroon so the helmet doesn't stand out so much. Problem with that is maroon and black don't contrast well on a jersey.

You have said before that you haven't been an MSU fan very long, maybe that has something to do with it. I have been an MSU fan since I was born, 35 years ago (so you know I'm not a blue hair) both of my parents have degrees from MSU. To me, it is borderline blasphemy to have a uniform that isn't Maroon or White. This black jersey stuff is stupid and the major thing is that it looks like ****, everytime. I don't mind them messing around with the maroon or white uniforms, I thought the egg bowl gold thing was kind of cool, but leave the black **** alone, please. IT. LOOKS. <17>ING. STUPID.

The basketball blacks have almost no maroon, and they look pretty good. Ones that are heavy on both maroon and black (football) look strange. That's because black and maroon look bad together.

This is also why the silver ones look badass. Silver/maroon looks good. Black with very little maroon would be great too.

As far as I'm concerned... you're not out there strapping up and playing for the university. If the players want to roll with it, then I'm behind it. Yea, maybe how long you've been a MSU fan does indeed effect your perception to the school's colors, but as much as you may not like it, the university isn't trying to please you with the uniforms. A lot of athletes are indeed using how teams look as a factor. No matter if you think that's dumb or not doesn't change the fact it's important to a lot of the others that it directly concerns. Lastly, it's not all about getting recruits, but also making sure that your current players have something else to look forward to and get excited about. I know you weren't being literal, but you do realize that the closest of all university colors to that of actual feces is......drum-roll.......maroon, right?

One more thing, I'm pretty sure The Diamond Dawgs have had black uni's for several years now. Since they are our only legitimate "claim to fame", where was your outrage when those uni's first appeared?

tweak these so the helmet is not maroon it's the silver Oregon helmet and the MState is in black making it Raideresque. Do that and this uniform would be the most popular in college football.
