I think there is an alum event at Stout. Right by MSG. Starts at 11 with the idea of going in at 1PM for the wrestling.

Does anyone have any other recommendations for solid places to grab lunch and a drink within 1-3 blocks of Penn Station?

Legends. I’ve thrown 2 pre-Pinstripe Bowl Parties there. Fantastic spot, very good food, tons of TV’s. It’s a huge soccer bar, and home to the LSU viewing parties, so there’s lots of cool stuff on the walls and whatnot as well.

Word of warning: avoid “Rick’s”!!!

Tracks which used to be in Penn Station has moved to brick and mortar in the area. You also have MSG food hall right outside Penn next to garden.

Have always gone to legends for RU events. Family wants to try something different so we are heading to the refinery rooftop for lunch then heading over

I take the LIRR and noticed Tracks had been closed. Didn't realize they have opened a new location. Interesting. There is another bar right next to Stout. Tons within a few blocks.

Yes that's the food hall. Had pretty good tacos there once. They have grab and go cans of beer and draft. We stopped there before B1G. Good for a quick bite and a few cold ones.

A group of us are heading to American Whiskey on 30th St. around 1:30. Good food and an amazing selection of the hard stuff.

The official RU Stout event will be over by 130p. Not an issue. The place is plenty big enough, close to the Garden, and a good time. Usually my familiar go to for pre or post MSG events.

Went to American Whiskey before the Campions Classic a few years ago. It was a great place. Big too. A lot of fans filled it up and everyone got along. Pretty good food and great drinks

Have a small group taking the train to NYC for the Rutgers Michigan game Saturday. Will unfortunately miss the wrestling and arrive at Penn Station around 2:30pm. Any ideas for a good sports bar or Irish pub near Madison Square Garden to hang out for a few drinks before the game?

Not sure what time folks are looking to pregame, but some of the places around MSG dont open all that early. Triple Crown (28th and 7th) isn't anything special but they open at like 8am (they show alot of Euro soccer) so its usually a place to grab a drink before an early game at MSG.

They open at 11; we're headed there around 2 I think. Skipping most of the wrestling portion.
