If you had the pleasure of meeting this man, you were instantly gifted with a friend.
Bob was my grandfathers college roommate at DSU. The man was absolutely in love with the State of Mississippi. I hope he will be honored accordingly. He’s helped every single university in MS and supported our athletic teams and scholars as if they were his own. So many good memories...the best were the road trips to watch DSU win the NAtty in 2000.
Too many good things to type, no way I have the characters to pull it off.
I’ll just say, Through the years, I watched this fella inspire groups of people.....some of the most uninspiring and poorest people in our state...In the country....yet ..year after year.... he would one up himself with his generosity and genuine demeanor.....he was a leader. Plain and simple.
Now my grand pops and Bob M can retell the story of how Alabama beat them 70 to 0 again, together.
Already missed, RIP Bob M
