Just read an article that former ND HC Lou Holtz said that the only way OSU wins is if "ND let's them win."

And QB Malik Zaire said that Will Howard is the worst OSU QB in a couple of decades and no way they beat ND.

I like Marcus Freeman but he cannot be happy over these developments. meanwhile, nothing from OSU

Oh, man. That’s rough stuff. Next thing you know some ND fan will call the Buckeyes poopy heads

Great comeback by the Irish. At 31-7, it was looking like a blowout. Freeman is a good coach. I thought the field goal decision was a little strange but he trusted his defense, and it almost worked.

They wouldn’t have even made the playoffs in the previous 4 team concept.
Which is why it sucked. Make a NC earn it on the field which OSU did with those 4 straight wins. More proof? They were the 1st team in CF history to defeat five top 5 teams in the same year

This is always the debate... which is more important to determining a NC? Is it a tournament of the best teams at the end of the year or is it the cumulative work during the course of the entire regular season? Arguments for and against both.

Six top teams, if you include beating themselves against Mich

They lost two games too.
You can only get a team up to peak performance a few times in a season and one of those losses was to the #1 team. Pretty hard to not have a let down when facing the gauntlet they faced this year. Mich was playing for their season and dOSU had bigger fish to fry

I don't disagree with your overall point, but if you don't think that Michigan game wasn't THE most important game on their schedule, then... well.... you'd be wrong.
