It would be nice to get news on Sarr before the kid decides, but it likely is already decided and wouldn't matter. Just in case it's not good news, if the kid decides on Kentucky, the more talent the better our chances in March.

Granted you may have inside info, but Bam was a “don’t even consider it” lock for NC State until like a day or two before he picked us when it started leaking out.
Not an insider. Just follow this board and I remember tons of people saying Bam was a strong lean to UK for months before he committed. I know the NC State thing was there for a long time.

I remember it like you as well. There was a poster claiming Bam and another player were locks for NC State but a few of us on this board wasn’t having it and we won out.

Bam was a strong UK lean for months before he announced. I would put Jamal Murray next to Knox for surprise commitments.
Yes but no one knew that . Bam was a much bigger surprise to me and many others then Murray. I always felt Murray was going to be a Cat as there 1-2 guys who usually get good info who said so. Knox has to be the biggest surprise in Cal's time . NO ONE knew that was coming.

I would be stunned if Cisse picked UK. Just don’t see. It’s interesting. A lot of these players are going to schools for one year that have no shot at a title/final four or in some cases even making the tournament. It’s all about showcasing their talent and they obviously couldn’t care less if their team is mediocre.

Evidently I knew it. But it's also evident there was somewhat of a split on who people were listening too. I don't remember who or where I was hearing things. Maybe it was good ole CoachX getting it right on accident or something.

I'll agree that Knox was a complete shock.

Knox was one of the very few that considered UK and I didn’t even check to see where he committed to. I remember it was hours later that I got on this board and saw it and couldn’t believe it.
