Both teams are 0-2 right now, and for Heritage if their defense don't get any better I could see them losing the majority of their games this year, I've got Robbinsville in a close one at home.

Problem with heritage is whole d-line they don't have personal run 4 man front , foster kid good player , that's it.
Yes heritage usually runs 3 man front , sometimes they bring l backer up make 4 man
Watch their last game , do have some speed in skill positions , their line not as good as past teams. Them being 0-2 they will play hard this week at home
We are fine on offense our d is just awful though a lot of our kids don't know how to form tackle.
Biggest weakness on their defense is d-line , In my opinion. Pisgah was smaller and pushing them back every play, foster is only athletic linemen they have that is strong . Their linebackers need work on basic fundamentals.
I don’t disagree. When 2/3 of your DL is getting washed into your LB corps you have issues. It’s why they should change the entire set up but not sure that’ll ever happen. They just let other teams set Foster where they want him and either avoid or throw numbers at him. It’s not a fun watch
After watching Pisgah playHeritage, scrimmage Erwin and then watching the Robbinsville/Erwin scrimmage, I think Heritage will be able to break enough big plays to win this one by 7-10pts.

Saw Pisgah was double foster all game. Honestly don't know the fix , losing mlb hurts, heard foster sign d-1 good player, good kid.
How bad did Pisgah beat Erwin in that scrimmage? I know the Robbinsville Erwin scrimmage was tied 10-10.
Erwin played well Friday but MH just cannot turn the ball over like that. Those are three drives that led to points for them. I legit believe without those it’s a win.
i don't disagree with that statement at all it will be a battle to win three or four ball games this year were just not good
I want to say it was 34-20. We moved Erwin around on the line pretty good and had a couple of d-linemen that consistently lived in their backfield.
Robbinsville will move the ball on Heritage, I just think it will be more in the form of methodical drives instead of big chunks of yardage.
It’ll probably come down to turnovers and penalties and so far the Cougars are losing those battles. It needs to get fixed.
Special teams needs work too Erwin getting the ball at mid field every drive.

My bias is that Heritages defense isn't very good we gave up 24 in the first half against Erwin, and 28 in the first half against Pisgah.
That’s why he posting about a SMC-WHC game? Heritage tackles the opening kick off and they win that game. Erwin kicked a FG as time expired to win.
Replacing 10 starters on defense will do that. We used this 4 man front in the first half. Seems like the three man works just fine
lol you know better. They won’t change a dang thing. I know exactly what’s going to happen. They’ll let Travis and the gang set 44, they’ll shift away and hammer that side. I’ve been watching this since youth league.
I wonder the last time both of these teams started the season 0-2. Has to be several years I would think. Robbinsville is historically tough at home but I think the Heritage offense has more fire power in this one. So if Heritage can get 2 - 3 stops they will walk out with the win.

I understand that, I'm not trying to piss anyone off just being honest, I'm heritage fan through and through lol
I don't think you're pissing anyone off. And no, they didn't start out in a 4 man front Friday night. They went to one at one point but abandoned it fairly quickly.
I have too many opinions about it to share so i'll keep my mouth shut, but what we're ultimately seeing is an unwillingness to adapt to what you have b/c "that's how we've always done it" is the message. And the reality is, there's really not usable depth and they're young and the young kids are massively underdeveloped and it's showing. I just think that's an excuse though. Pisgah is young. They start Sophomores and Juniors everywhere. They're just better developed as ball players at that phase. There's a reason for that too, but I don't have the energy to let it rip LOL

Or maybe our kids will band together and tell all the outside noise and interests to kick rocks and remember that We Are Heritage. Maybe they’ll remember that the Paw and fighting for one another is bigger than any one persons accomplishments or stats? I know this, that green kool aid tastes a helluva lot better than purple.
