This has the potential to be one of the best games in WNC in week 1. Pisgah has played well in scrimmages and Heritage still has plenty of offensive weapons and can throw and run the ball well.
Who ya got week 1?
Who ya got week 1?
I’d be shocked if either team won by more than a score or 2Pisgah 35/14
I think Pisgah speed going give heritage defense trouble. Thats my opinion could be wrong lolI’d be shocked if either team won by more than a score or 2
Well, you're definitely not wrong about the Week 1 part. It's also been a while since you could say Pisgah and speed in the same sentence and not be talking about somebody else. However, It's the first game, scrimmages mean nothing now, and anything could happen. Heritage is always tough and physical though, but I'll still take the Bears at home on the river in the opener, seems to be a really good vibe around the program right now. 34-20.I think mtn heritage takes the W. Pisgah's trend the past few years take a week 1 whipping then get it together and be tough the rest of the year
Yes, we have definitely taken our lumps in week 1 the last few years but this squad looks a little further along than I thought they’d be at this point in the year. We’ll see.I think mtn heritage takes the W. Pisgah's trend the past few years take a week 1 whipping then get it together and be tough the rest of the year
I honestly don’t know. The few times I don’t make it to a game, I always just listen to it on the radio. Will this game be on nfhs?
No ,None of the Pisgah games at home are broadcast on NFHS but will be on WPTL radio. Will this game be on nfhs?
Yessir! Y'all as well. Good team with really good fans. Always first classCongrats Pisgah and good luck the rest of the way.
We must have been watching different game lol. Any game that almost 100 points is score is not good.I disagree that either d is “really bad”. That was two extremely physical and well coached disciplined offensive football teams who are very hard to mimic all week in practice. What I noticed with heritage is the lack of depth and that’s what got them. Pisgah figured it out after the first half bc they shut it down. What a great football game to watch by two very good teams. Good luck to all the remainder of the year.
Considering Pisgah made halftime adjustments, and held an extremely well run option offense to 70 yards rushing and 6 points after the half, I consider that an accomplishment. We also had 4 juniors and 1 sophomore on defense making their first varsity starts last night. They’re going to be fine.We must have been watching different game lol. Any game that almost 100 points is score is not good.
It was a hell of a lot better start than last year, and we still had a good season.Me personally thinks this is a big win for Pisgah and they'll be in the mix in 4a this year.
I think Pisgah is doing a great job with the group they have. At the end of the day, they did a great job with their gameplan and adjustments. Heritage is thin, wasn’t conditioned well and it showed.Yes, in our case on defense you could tell that a correction had to be made because their blocking scheme was creating a major disadvantage for us being sucked in on the line, and us having very few tacklers beyond 10-yards. We made that correction/ adjustment in the 2nd half.
#44 for Heritage is a beast. We had no answer for him one-on-one.
As for Pisgah, this team is talented, they’re further ahead in some places than I expected them to be at the start of the year and in others about where you should expect for the amount of roster turnover. Even when they peak, it’s going to look different than our “normal” teams because we’re undersized but with lots of skill options. The defense will get it figured out and it wasn’t as bad as the score or yardage against made it look. There are times we will have to outscore people to win rather than shut them down but I like our odds to do that in most cases.
Idk about Pisgah but Heritage has a lot of players going both ways. Both sides need to address the cramping bc Friday night was not a night that cramping should have reared its head to the extent it did.
