To be honest about it and don't get into if it's cooked right and all that I've had it cooked right and in different ways , but I don't care for venison at least Deer but Elk in the other hand I really like. Been told it's maybe due to their diet that Elk tend to graze more like catte while Deer will eat about anything.

Only way I can eat deer meat is a roast cooked in onions in browning bag. Ends up, to me kinda like roast beef.
Wait, y’all done got me off topic again!!!
Our teenagers are bigger, faster, and smarter!!!

Soak it in Dales for about a thirty minutes, then put it on the grill. It will make your 👅 slap your brains out.

I've never had deer meat and wouldn't know how to cook it. Being a city slicker I've been fishing but never hunting. I would love to try a slice but probably ruin it cooking it. I don't think I know anyone personally that goes deer hunting but I probably know someone but don't know it. Is it as goos as a ribeye ?

Wow. Hard to believe.
Every other pickup here has bear dogs on them this time of year.

Only bear I’ve ever seen was on a trip to Pungo many years back with daddy. Sow and three cubs came out of picked over cornfield right at daylight. Didn’t make a sound that I could hear at all. About thirty yards from me. Only time in my life been afraid with a shotgun in my hand.
Now how bout them Wildcats???

I haven't had tons of it use to eat it some years ago when my brother hunted plus I know others who still hunt. I fished as a boy a lot lived right across from a creek and went some with my brother when he has bass boats but never got into hunting and rather play golf than anyway.
But I never had time for any of it I worked for 30+ years Monday - Saturday sometimes Sunday plus by the time I was 35 I was widowed with two daughters 5 & 6 at the time running a business on serval county boards including the chamber of commerce so I was a little busy.

I was a great baseball player lol
Now now…
Unlike the “other” sports I’ve not really run across anybody that played baseball and was good that said so…
I say this to point out what a great sport it is even though I know you’re just saying that to create a tangent.
Not bad young man.
Not bad

My terrier had 4 up a tree next to my garage last Saturday night. Mom and 3 cubs. It hard to deer hunt up here because of them

My brother was a really good pitcher. Played for Mars Hill. He ruined me. My dad built a mound and backstop and I was the test dummy for a knuckle curve and fork ball. It still hurts to think about it.
