Looked exactly like a Jon Harden strike to me except Harden threw it from the left side.

BIG strike call for USC on a breaking ball up and in. If it’s called a ball, it’s a 3-2 count with the bases loaded with a fastball coming to one of our best hitters. Instead, inning over. Umpire really injected himself into the game right there.

Yesterday, in attendance I noticed their catcher's framing seemed too violent & jerky, especially on low pitches. Looks the same on TV as well. Both umps are falling for it though.

Yep. Dude was in trouble until Cumbest swung at the slider in the left hand batters box. The pitcher knew he had him after that. And then Clark became a spectator from the LH batters box. Still plenty of time to pull this one out.

I don't blame Foxhall I think I would've got tossed out myself the way they've called this game, but how in the hell does a second base umpire make that call?

We had just gotten a swing and miss, and Harding had stepped off. Home plate ump pointed to his watch toward the pitcher, is that a time warning or something? Maybe that’s what set us off.

What a pansy move by the 2B umpire.

You can frame pitches without jerking the mitt. Body placement for inside/outside and the depth at which you receive the ball that is much more effective than jerking the glove. Hard to believe umps for the top conference in the country would be that bad. Well now actually I don’t know that I’d expect anything else. But IF you are going to jerk the mitt you at least have to save it for when you NEED that strike, doing it early in the game when not needed may actually cost your pitcher strikes later in the game

Sure won’t. Man, both teams are throwing some nice looking belt high fastballs right on the outer edge of the plate, but it’s not getting called for either team
