Do you want a baseball bat to the right side of your head or the left side? That's what it seems like to me. I'd like to vote libertarian, as I'm in substantial agreement with Gary Johnson. But listening to him makes me think while he might not be a bat to the head he seems like he could be a kick to the crotch.
I'm not in lock step with Johnson, and I do have some issues with him. I think he's the best of the current field though, and I agree with him far more than Trump or Clinton.
I do want a president who will end the war on drugs. I don't want a president who is on drugs.

There are considerable differences. A Muslim would likely stifle the "progressive" side of left wing groups with Islam's totalitarian approach to enforcing moral and social order. An example is a left wing group more likely than a right wing group to parade, at least amongst its own members, the notion a man's anus is a social playground for another man to enjoy. A Muslim, say from ISIS, the Taliban, or Alqueda likely would revolt with violence the anus isn't a playground. Where there might be a comparison is in the use of a belief to stay in power. Liberal politicians, using left wing groups, will abuse an idea like "war on poverty" to feed the groups casting votes for them. This is no different than the islamofascist dictator cleric abusing a belief to feed its supporting groups ultimately leading to committing terroristic crimes just like the Nazi's did, in the "religious" manner they used as well.

People are quick to say "Hitler was left-wing" because he supported liberalism. That's not correct. He was considered a "liberal" because he wanted to change the current German structure. Meaning, he wanted to change the way the government was ran and the freedoms certain individuals (Jews, Communists) had. Thus, since he wanted these changes, he was lumped in to a European "liberal" viewpoint.
When people say that you are entitled to your own opinion but not your own fact, your response is exactly what they are referring to.
