Gator Bowl. Completely dominated the one of the greatest programs in college football history. The game was over in the 2nd quarter. Basically had a party in the stands.

Stevie set a record for visor tosses in 92. I remember the shaking of many car keys.Back to the first baseball game under the lights. There was a huge fight in LF between Reb football players and State fans.

Lots of good candidates but I think I'd have to go with the 1991 basketball game against LSU if only because I spent the night before outside the Hump-- seemed like I had more invested in that game, you know?

Had a lot of fun back in the 80's with the Clark, Raffy years but 2007 with my daughter in the stands yelling her head off was priceless.

and then gave the ref the choke sign. The Hump was rocking that whole game and we ran the bears out of the gym.

5. SEC Championship Game, 1998.
It was a surreal atmosphere. From pregame festivities throughout the game. We were playing for the SEC Championship. And I have never seen the Bulldog nation in a state of joy moreso than when Prentiss ran that punt back. There wasn't a person in the GeorgiaDome (maroon or orange-clad) that did not think we were about to win the SEC Championship. Up to that point, we had dominated them on defense, but Madkin couldn't get things going. If we would have won, this would be #1.

4. Gator Bowl, 2011
Getting to a New Years Bowl game, the sheer amount of maroon in Jacksonville, and the fact that we completely dominated Michigan made that a party.

3. The Ole Miss "Choke" basketball game, 2004
What a run that was. And that building was rocking from tip-off. When Rick got tossed, I thought the roof was about to come off. And we ran Ole Miss out of the gym. Rick came back on the court post game.

2. Later that season, clinching the SEC Championship at Alabama, 2004
There were 3000 State fans in Tuscaloosa. Down 18 with 10 minutes to go and we won in overtime. 30 minutes after the game, they had to cut the lights off to get us to leave.

1. The 2007 Super Regional Saturday
That week was a blast. From pj on here all the way to the final pitch.

Michigan forced a final game on Monday for a trip to Omaha but ran out of pitching. We absolutely shellacked the wolverines who even put the first baseman on the mound for an inning. Last half of the game was just a wild party in the stands about going to Omaha.

I had to think about the question because there is a difference between the most fun and the biggest moments of sheer joy. There have been many games where we needed a hit or a play, or a basket to win a close game that when it happened there was a few moments of ecstasy but the hour or two of nail biting leading up to it could not be described by me as fun. To me the most sustained fun is when you win the big game, defeat a hated rival or big team going away.

Best DWS atmosphere in at least a decade. Recently wrist-slapped for cowbells, fans mostly yelled. It was loud as all get out. Video board sound guy was on his game. Even got in an entire play of Welcome To The Jungle during a long timeout - people in the stands were singing/screaming out all the lyrics. Loads of fun.

Awesome game. You could just feel we were finally gonna get the big win that has eluded State since...Heavens, what was the last good team we beat - I can't even remember. OT was pretty wild. Couldn't quite pull it off.

5. Basketball, 2002 UK @MSU. Huge comeback after an awful first half. Austin hits a three to send it to OT. We win 74-69.<div>4.Football, 2001 TA&M vs. MSU. Had tickets and gave them away. Had a great time watching it knowing I wasn't freezing to death. Plus we win in OT.
<div>3. Football, 2002 UF @MSU. Our defense just decimates three of Florida's QBs. The score isn't as close at it looks. 47-35 State.</div><div>2. Football, 1998 ARK @MSU. Madkin just takes over, shrugging tacklers and willing us into field goal range. Hazelwood takes care of the rest.</div><div>1. Football, 1999 UM @MSU. Wayne 17ing Madkin. CJ 17ing Sirmones. Eugene 17ing Clinton. This whole season was a highlight, most fun MSU season ever.</div><div>
</div><div>The turn of the millennium was a fun time to be a MSU fan...</div><div>

But here are the games that stick out...<div>
</div><div>2007 Super Regional (Game 2) - Obviously the atmosphere was a blast, but I also got to watch the series clincher behind home plate with my Dad. Pretty special day that led to an incredibly wild night.Anyone remember the power blackouts? They led to even more debauchery in the District (along with blackouts of a different kind).</div><div>
</div><div>2009 SEC Men's Basketball Tournament Championship - Frustrating season, but things finally went our way. The last two minutes of that game were excruciating. There weren't many fans there, but those of us that made the trip to Tampa had a hell of a time after that final buzzer sounded. Took group photos with the Tourney pyramid trophy, Dan Mullen, and Buck Showalter before we even got outta the gym. Raised absolute hell at Channelside, tricked the security guard into letting us cut down the 2009 SEC Tourney banners (that still sit in many of our living rooms) and convinced a friend to put $100 on black at the casino. We couldn't lose that day. Until my car got towed. But that's another story...</div><div>
</div><div><div>1999 Egg Bowl- Thought we were gonna lose. We all remember the incredible finish. Rode the goalposts out of the stadium and took a piece home.</div></div><div>
</div><div>---</div><div>
</div><div>Honorable mentions:</div><div>
</div><div><div>2007 Croom vs. Saban- Whiskey monsoons in the student section. Post-game trash talk to snarky Bama fans. Great day.</div></div><div>
</div><div><div>2004 State vs. Ole Miss, Basketball- I wish the Hump could be like that again.</div></div><div>
</div><div><div>2011 Gator Bowl- We beat the University of Michigan 52-14. Pretty much says it all.</div></div><div>
</div><div>1998 SEC Championship- For reasons 615dawg mentioned. It was just a surreal feeling being there.</div><div>

1. 96 bama game- Had been 16 years since we beat those bastards, fell in the hedges going over the fence, got in a melee after leaving the stadium.

2. 98 arkansas game- sec west champs,,,in football never thought I would see it happen.

3. SEC Championship game football- I really thought we had broken through.

4. 91? Texas game in Starkville- hotter'n hell (damn jp sports), drunker'n hell (damn boones farm), phenomenal game, made some really good friends from Texas after. A thunderstorm got a standing ovation.

5. 91? basketball game against ole miss- Cameron Burns sinking 2 freethrows to win it.

Also in consideration- 2010 arkansas game, that was as crazy as I have ever seen a State crowd from start to finish. Still get chills thinking about that atmosphere that night.

That is easily the most awesome game I've ever been to where we lost. It was also hilarious how hard the cowbellban backfired on our opponents because the crowd was way louder than the cowbells ever were. The PA guy/person in charge of the music did an awesome 17ing job that game (Atmosphere during welcome to the jungle was AWESOME). Just couldn't pull it out in 2OT.

And I think Welcome To The Jungle came at a critical juncture. Just before OT or some crucial possession in the 4th - I don't remember. But whatever, it was the right thing at the right time.

I wish the current audio/video crew took atmosphere a LOT more seriously. Its kind of a big deal. I know we're selling more ads and run a faster paced offense now. But we could do a lot better with the audio/video stuff like we had all season long in 2010.

The best 2 that come to mind is the Arkansas game 2OT. Best game I have ever been to and we lost. Ballard's effort was amazing. The crowd was awesome.<div>

But you're right... 2009 SEC Tourney celebration was epic. Trophy, Mullen, Showalter, Channelside, champagne bottles, and banners. I slept 4 hours on a hardwood floor that night even though I had to drive 10 hours the next day. I just didn't care.

Best ever feeling was watching that Michigan family who admittedly bought seats on our side to trash talk and then stand up and sing the Michigan fight song so proudly after the first score walk their *** up the aisle during the 4th quarter to a chorus of bells.

For me in both it was the way we won given what was on the line. I left both games totally emotionally drained.

The 2007 SR was great. I can't wait to do that again. The Gator Bowl was also awesome. I'd call these 1(a) and 1 (b). I think the folks in Jacksonville really put on a good bowl weekend all together. The pep rally was great, NYE on the river was great, and the game was great.

That Bama game was also awesome. That's the last time I was jumping up and down on those bleachers in the student section (we had regular tickets, but wanted to party).

The Florida game in 2004 was also a good one - would probably be one of the best but we were so terrible in that one I stayed home and slept in until halftime...turned the TV on and then hustled up to the stadium. That's the only time I got to rush the field.

Don't remember the year, but between '83 and '88, we played Bama at the Hump on a Sat. night. It started sleeting followed by snow the Wed. before, and classes were canceled Thurs. and Friday. The roads were so bad, none of the students could leave campus for the weekend, and since very few people could get to the Hump, admission was free to anyone that could get there. There were more students at that game than any game I have ever attended at the Hump. There was a fight between the players on the court during the game, and after that, the student section went ballistic. Oh, we won the game, too. Anyone that was there would agree that it was about as fun as a basketball game can get.

I absolutely have not had a better time at a game than I did at the 2007 Super Regional though. Without a doubt one of the coolest atmospheres in MSU history. I remember running onto the field and you would have thought everyone there was family because people were high fiving and hugging, players were even chest bumping random *** fans...lit was classic.

The 97 regional though was tops as a baseball fan though. That series had everything. We came out of the loser's bracket and still won it. Washington had a tough club. McGruder became a household name that series.A tough Georgia Tech team was also in that regional and I think we were forced to beat them twice in one day if I remember correct.Dubose pitched like a freaking beast all series. That Memorial Day game was unreal.

On Campus - 1998 after we beat Bama and the SEC Championship game started to look like a reality. The scene outside thestadiumwas wild with the newspapers flying everywhere. That team had a ton of personalities on it also that made it fun to watch.<div>
</div><div>Off Campus - 2010 Egg Bowl. In Oxford knowing we were about to beattheirass. We were sitting right on the boarder between us and the Ole Miss fans and when Arceto decleated that nobody at the 50 on the Perkins screen pass...**** got crazy.
