Yes. Francis and Fryar is correct. Sam in 1937 and Irving in 1984. Also, Dean Steinkuhler went 2nd overall in '84. Amazing.

Aaaaand, Mike Rozier went number 1 in the USFL draft that same year. Imagine, were it not for that, we might have had picks 1,2,3.

I doubt that. Rozier was a spectacular college RB, but wasn't the kind of burner that would have been a #3 overall pick. And the first RB picked in that NFL draft was at #26, so it wasn't a position many teams were looking to fill in the first round.
