This has to be one of the greatest sports photos ever. Turcotte said looking back at the field at Belmont went against everything he was ever taught as a jockey, "But I just couldn't help it. I had to see."
Yep. Turcotte is correct. Turcotte is the first jockey to ever have won five of six consecutive Triple Crown races (matched by Victor Espinoza in 2015).
Secretariat still holds the record for fastest race time of the three triple crown races, Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, and the Preakness.
