Have you watched his high school videos? He's the same guy, just more mature. As for fouls, if you think the blocking call on RT was correct you simply don't understand basketball. GW lowered his shoulder and drove that shoulder into RT's chest without RT ever touching him. That is an automatic charge. Don Daily should be Higgins-ed. He was that bad.If you have ever watched many interviews with Grant he is a class act and extremely intelligent. He was primarily recruited by Ive league schools. The dude has developed beyond belief.
overall great game. 5 things stood out:
(1) PJ early foul trouble kept best player off court but EJ and Nick played well;
(2) Reid's last two fouls were bogus. Flopper Williams got benefit on both calls and both were wrong;
(3) two turnovers late by Hagans and Herro were critical in basically a one possession game:
(4) needed one rebound at 38 second mark to win game. EJ couldn't hold off flopper - Reid would have gotten that rebound; and
(5) UT hit three big 3s by three different people ... made plays when they needed to make them.
Overall - game could have went either way and both teams have a great chance to get to Final 4. Hoping for 2 seed in south with virginia or 2 in West against Gonzaga.
I get we all have a blind spot for our favorite team and their players. But don’t be an ******* and come over to another board defending one of the biggest floppers in the game. I don’t know anything about Grant Williams other than what he wants everyone to see through interviews etc. Same with every athlete of every team. What I do know is he plays the game in a manner that I think is a chicken **** way to play.Floppier Williams? Talk to anybody that watched the game on TV and they will tell you the officiating went blue slanted in the 2nd half. TN might have gotten the benefit of a couple of calls the entire game. Big blue should never complain about officiating. It’s like Bama in football.
Well we need something to get Tyler open , its late march and we dont have sets to overcome that ?
I saw the contact but honestly i wouldnt have called that a foul. Used his lower body and just went after it harder than EJNumber 4 is the one Williams was shoving EJ hard in the back to get that rebound, I watched it over and over, he did enough to get the rebound but fouled in the process, nothing called. Then just about every one of Reid's fouls were iffy at best.
