Not sure if this is a good idea, however... My daughter is attending WVU next fall and 3 years later, my son. I am considering buying a townhouse or condo. They can live in it instead of rent post Freshmen year. I would likely own the property for 6-9 years. Anyone do this before? Any suggestions or pitfalls?

If you get a good deal, jump on it. It shouldn't lose value, which means that when you go to sell it you should get what you paid for it and probably MORE in 10 years.
