He was very good to start the season. Played every bit the part of a MCDAA. Remember, he was expected to be a backup his freshman year but wildly exceeded expectations.

Yes, he hit a wall towards the end, but the talent is undeniable, and much more close to blossoming than a guy like Jasper.

I hope that doesn’t happen and kind of doubt it could but I don’t mind admitting I’ve also had the thought it would be objectively hilarious if it happened.
At this point I wouldn’t be shocked if everyone said nah I’m good. It would probably be better if they did and he couldn’t even field a team. Make it so toxic that the school has no choice to but to get rid of him, Mitch, and anyone who could possibly come from under him to hire next.

We all know why the guys who left were making those comments now. The word is out. Pope is a clown, everyone stay far away. He recruited a bad fitting team, albeit one that had a chance to return a lot of guys, and they all left. Everyone that left their school for a larger payday won’t even take his money. It’s insanity.

He surprised us (and opponents) because he was expected to spot spot minutes off the bench. Once everyone adjusted to the reality of him as UK's primary option and starting center, it became clear he was just a freshman who needed time to develop, get stronger, and work on his handle. He is not an NBA player at this stage, and it's laughable. Go watch a few NBA games and focus on the bigs.

At this point I hope he gets tremendous feedback and a lottery promise and stays in the draft. It would be objectively funny.

EDIT: of course I want him to come back. It’s a joke.
I honestly as a sick bastard at this point have been thinking the same thing, “starting at center, Reece Potter.”

What a troll hoping UK loses one of its best players before next season. The biggest pile of HS I may have seen on this board yet.
Think he meant more so as this would be a final step for Pope, it’s not inconceivable he’ll get a fourth season even at what’s appearing to be a disastrous upcoming year.

I’ve said from the get go if he is our starting center next season it’s at least another ten loss team.
