Political power play. It can be fixed. I hate the cards but don't screw the students over politics. I have a suspicion it's a publicity stunt more than anything.

LMAO, if UL loses its accreditation and UNC doesn't, I want to see the comments over on the red board.
All this time they have been defending their "fellow ACC brother", but if they get nailed, watch how fast those bast*rds do an about face.

Exactly.

This more and more looks to become a three-way death match between UNC, U of L and the NCAA, with none of them escaping unscathed.

Political nonsense. I don't think they'll lose accreditation. They were put on probation by SACS which could be extended if necessary. They will be fine once a new board is installed, which must meet legislative requirements as to its makeup.

This is an attempt to inflame the masses by claiming there might be no more baskeeball.

SACS is never taking accreditation from any major university, ever. I still don't know how they have rules on board members when this is a state school controlled, ultimately, by the Kentucky legislature.

I thought UNC did lose it's accreditation and they still played. No? Or did they get yet another pass from the NCAA.

If you lose accreditation your done as a school, it's close the doors time. That has nothing to do with the ncaa either, that's an academic issue.

This. Not an NCAA issue, it is a SACS issue. And it has nothing to do with the scandals and everything to do with Governor Bevin and his power play to remove and replace the BOT.

This is getting the board back into compliance. The power play was stacking it with 17 political cronies from 1 party.
