You obviously just looked at the box score and didnt watch the game.
What a moronic thing to say . I have watched every game since 94 . Hump was great out there , as was Tai to be honest in his very limited role. Hump really went after the boards well and had a nice hook shot . If you dislike the guy it is personal thing as it can't be his talent. Tai is a bruiser who has his role but he won't ever get you points which is ok . BUt to act like he should play over Hump is using alternative facts as they call them these days as the numbers don't back it up. Tai played 12 minutes and had 2 rebs 1 bk 1 steal ,. Hump played 1 more minute and had 4 pts and 7 rebs . Yep those numbers obviously point towards tai being better [eyeroll]. I love both those guys playing with the way Bam is called for phantom fouls but make no mistake who is the back up and who is the back up to the back up. Both are needed. Just like Mulder might be the 5th guard but we are a much better team with him. But let's not discredit how well Hump played in spurts last night.

The best thing Tai brings to the court is the other guys not trying to include him in the offense and bogging down in the half court.

When Isaac or Bam are in there they try to get them the ball and neither are that skilled on the block.

Take Bam for instance. His numbers aren't remarkably different when we try to feature him. He would end up with a similar line rim running for put backs and alleys. Finishing with about 14 on like 5-6 shooting and the rest of the guys would be fluid and natural.

Hump had a good game last night and got more than one compliment from another big, Jay Bilas. He can be frustrating at times but is young and will keep improving imo.

I couldn't point to what it was, cause I don't know basketball, but I liked him. He seems solid as an oak tree. At one point the ball was bouncing for a long rebound and I heard someone yell. I think it was Tai.

You've got to watch out about too much Thai. Too much and it'll give you the screaming chits!. It will at least make you fart like a poisoned yak.

I have no idea why we dump the ball into Humph. He rarely converts.

We were terrible with Humphries on the floor. His plus minus had to be close to -20. Our team defense and overall play was better with him on the bench. Every time he was in the game UGA went right at him and attacked the basket. You can quote stats all day long but we were a better team when Humphries was on the bench.

He only had 2 rebounds but he sealed his guy at least three times that lead to our guards getting the rebound and getting a fast break.

Good post.

I made this point earlier. He seals and clears the lane for others to crash the boards better than anyone we have.

I agree! Tai has got the build for being a banger. He may even get to score IF he gets more time in the rotation? I sure hope he comes back, even though he gets recruited over! II for one believe he can a play valuable role to this group ,and in the future I am like Rex on the pre. game show, said he WILL be valuable to UK while he's here!!

There are not a handful of bigs in the world with the footwork in the paint when got with one man on him or if the double team is a smaller player to position himself to dunk. If u don't think that's a skill ur crazy. He makes the same moves as other so called bigs to position himself to score they have to shoot baby hooks he dunks on other bigs The difference is his verticals for his height is ultra elite and only Dwight Howard only one other player period combines the vertical and the strength. He already shoots freethrows better than Howard and he is shooting a very high percentage from about 14 ft another not so common skill in bigs. Bam is not getting the ball where he can work that is on the guards not him. When he works out for the NBA. Bam will move to top 7 or higher. Do a little research on verticals for bigs in the NBA WCS was considered a freak at 34 inch vertical Bams is 39.
