Possibly one of the coaches had sex on a restaurant table, got a woman pregnant, then paid for her to have an abortion? Or maybe one of the coaches paid prostitutes to service the recruits at on campus dorm parties? Or maybe they paid a player tons of money to come there while they were still on probation?

Wait, the tweet said he extorted money. Did he actually receive money? If he did, then that’s a cover-up payment while on double probation.

Doesn't sound like it. Apparently UL had self reported the violations. This is basically a non-story unless you are happy that a former UL assistant is going to get in trouble. This doesn't really affect UL in anyway IMO.
How many extortion cases is that now in the last ten years? That’s crazy stuff if true.

Back when it was discovered that the former President and AD were using the University as their own private Hedge Fund, the state could have just taken it over, cleaned house, and renamed it North Central Kentucky State.
I don't know why Frankfort didn't move on them then. A chubby dumb Assistant paying for lap dances made the news, but the financial shenanigans by Ramsey and that fraudulent money-laundering "Foundation" were where the really story was.
Kentucky fans could soon miss the days of hating UofL, it's just become so embarrassing. I miss talking about Louisville basketball....as in actual games and the players.

It would probably be embarassing to Frankfort if information came out regarding how UofL "greased the wheels" to get a new arena, with virtual control handed over to UofL, solely for themselves in downtown Louisville.
Fred Cowgill giving a pretty bleak assessment of the situation as it seems to be spinning. The extortion attempt is based on factual violations. That doesnt go away just because Gaudio threatened to expose them for his salary. They seem small in the grand scheme of things but if they did send illegal videos to recruits or use student managers in practices etc.... that are maybe low level....they are HUGE when you are already under the hammer of the NCAA. Cowgill gave a somewhat dire overview.

The CJ: Documents say that Gaudio on March 17 in an in-person meeting with Louisville personnel threatened to report to the media allegations that the basketball program had violated NCAA rules in its production of recruiting videos for prospective student-athletes and in the use of its graduate assistants in practices - unless the university paid his salary an additional 17 months or provided an equivalent lump sum.
That is an interesting point some folks are missing. If they deem any of this level 2 - it could have huge ramifications due to their recent probation and fact they are in the cross hairs of the NCAA for additional major violations.
