Thankfully we still have the MASTERS to watch this weekend!!
Darren Rovell is at half mast.
Add LSU-Bama and A&M-Tennessee to the list of games that won't be played this weekend.
Sounds like somebody forgot to tell all these teams that the virus went away on Wednesday of last week.
Somebody forgot to tell that none of these kids are dying from it or coming close.
The increased number of players testing positive is just following the curve for the whole country. Look for the NFL to really get hit in the next couple of weeks.
Since this is the trend at the moment, this makes me question the feasibility of basketball. I hope it works. It does however seem difficult to miss 10-14 days of games and then make those up. Hopefully there is some relief soon and we don’t have to think about this stuff for much longer.
IS NOT JUST ABOUT THE KIDS! Quit being a dumbass!
Horrible take. Football is already ahead of national trends...way ahead, it is the nature of the beast in a contact sport.
Simmer down, coronabruh jr. It's because of contact tracing and such, which results in many more than truly necessary being quarantined. Plus, the games themselves aren't the spreading events. It's Halloween, voting, etc.Horrible take. Football is already ahead of national trends...way ahead, it is the nature of the beast in a contact sport.

As football, so expect to see more stringent “safety” measures
What's going on with football is simple: They are testing and contact tracing like you should. If we could do it this way for everyone we would get this under control in a month or so. Obviously we cant test the entire population three times a week. How many people do you know that have had it? How many football players have? It isn't proportionate.
Now you can add Missouri-Georgia to the list of postponed games.
Can't believe people are still perpetuating this hoax.**
What games are even left?

FYI: The CDC FINALLY came out and said what the data has been saying for months: masks DO provide protection to the wearer. I's not 100% but it absolutely reduces your odds of getting it. It also can reduce the severity of your case if you do contract it while wearing a mask.
Because a mask reduces the quantity of the virus that enters your system. Less virus to fight = better odds your immune system will win. CDC has lost a lot of credibility with the conflicting advice they keep coming out with. It should have been obvious to anyone that wearing a mask does provide some level of protection to the wearer, even if it's not 100%.How in the world is your last sentence even remotely true? If you get the virus, it's up to your body's antibodies and handling the virus load. Nothing to do with a mask.
How in the world is your last sentence even remotely true? If you get the virus, it's up to your body's antibodies and handling the virus load. Nothing to do with a mask. Also, only 36%(maybe less) of people in a household contracts the virus when a family member is positive. Most of those family members are not wearing masks inside their homes, imo.
Not feasible. Look at Europe and Australia. After lockdowns, cases are spiking. You will never be able to "control" this virus until a vaccine is administered.
